The ongoing Abia State Councils Election has recorded More electoral irregularities and flaws as the State Electoral Commission is not ready or prepared for the election with the sinister move to return the candidate of the ruling party (Labour Party).
The reports across the entire Council’s in the State has recorded flaws, inappropriate and irregularities with Umuneoche as the worst hit.
Reporting coming from Umunneochi Local Government Area, Obiolu/Obiagwu / Lomara Ward, polling unit 4&5 recorded shortage of ballot booklets, instead of four booklets the Election officers came with one booklet in only 100 pieces of papers leaving the crow of Over 500 voters in confusions who came to express their franchise in voting their brother, Hon. Uchenna Ajala candidate for All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA in the election.
Speaking from his polling Unit, Hon. Uchenna Ajala, APGA Candidate said that the election is a complete flawed with the ruling party Labour Party trying to hijack the process as the shortage ballot booklets is taking to a hidden place to use in the manipulation of the entire process of the election against the wishes and people’s choice.
According to him, he is the most popular candidate for the election in Umunneochi Local Government Area and will do anything within his capacity to safe guide his victory.
“Our governor Chief Alex Otti should use this election to proof his integrity and accountability by allowing a free, fair and credible election in Abia State. Let him call the election umpires to order now to do the right thing”. Uchenna Ajala.
