The Imo State Chapter of the Nigerian Red Cross Society has prayed for the success of the 2027 senatorial ambition of former Deputy Governor of Imo State and PDP Candidate for Imo East Senatorial District, (Owerri Zone) Prince Eze Madumere, following a humanitarian outreach by his campaign team to commemorate his 2026 birthday.

The outreach, organised by Journey of Grace Campaign Team for Prince Eze the Madumere, featured visits to the Nigerian Red Cross Society Secretariat, the Save the Child Motherless and Abandoned Babies Home, and other charitable homes across Owerri, where food items, beverages and other relief materials were distributed to vulnerable persons.

The day’s activities commenced with a road show from the Journey of Grace Campaign Office along Okigwe Road. The campaign team proceeded to St. Paul’s Catholic Parish, Douglas Road, where they shared cooked meals and packaged food with the less privileged before visiting the Nigerian Red Cross Society Secretariat located behind Deeper Life Bible Church on Ukpo Street, Emmanuel College Layout, Owerri. The team later visited the Save-a-Child and Abandoned Babies Home in the World Bank area of Owerri.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Imo State Chapter, Barr. Greg Okemili, commended Prince Madumere for his longstanding humanitarian disposition and commitment to the welfare of the less privileged.

Okemili recalled that Madumere’s support played a significant role in attracting and facilitating the construction of the society’s permanent secretariat in Owerri, describing him as a compassionate leader whose contributions to humanitarian causes remain commendable.

He described the campaign team’s visit as a homecoming and offered prayers for Prince Madumere’s success in the 2027 Imo East (Owerri Zone) Senatorial election.

At the Save the Child Motherless and Abandoned Babies Home, the children warmly welcomed the campaign team with songs and dances as they received the donated items. The management of the home expressed gratitude for the gesture and prayed for God’s continued blessings, good health and long life for Prince Madumere.

They also expressed confidence that his record of philanthropy and service would continue to earn him public goodwill as he pursues his senatorial aspiration.
