IMOLITES SHOULD ASK GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA HOW IWUANYANWU OFFENDED HIM BEFORE HIS DEATH — DR. FABIAN IHEKWEME*
The road leading to Ahaejiagamba’s country home in Atta Ikeduru from the Okigwe Expressway junction is completely impassable. So many dignitaries that arrived Imo to join in the Service of Songs going on in Atta Cathedral home church of Ahaejiagamba had to turn back and return to Owerri in anger. The Governor, the supposed Chief Mourner refused to join other Southeast Governors on Monday in Enugu for the Southeast Service of Songs as part of the funeral programs organized in honor of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo President General. The poor state of the Atta Ikeduru road leading to Iwuanyanwu’s village is the biggest disservice to the noble contributions of Ahaejiagamba in Igboland and beyond. Not even to grade the road to make it motorable for the events. Notwithstanding the shame that getting the whole world to ply that road to bury Chief Iwuanyanwu will bring to the state and completely demarket Ndi Imo and what we stand for. Please Governor Hope Uzodimma, have mercy on Imo people small by doing the needful. Many dignitaries in Imo have been advised by their advanced teams to avoid traveling on that road to Atta. How did we offend this Governor?
