CIGREHDI Inaugurates Imo State Executive Members, Target Promotions of Good Governance, Role of Law

The Citizens Grassroot Renaissance and Human Development Initiative (CIGREHDI), a politically inclined civil society group, has inaugurated its Imo State Executive Committee. The inauguration ceremony took place at the renowned Rento Hotel, Owerri, bringing together key members and supporters of the organization.
Though the event witnessed a strong turnout, members expressed regret over the absence of the State Coordinator, Major Valentine Mbanaso (Rtd.), who was bereaved following the passing of his younger brother’s wife. The attendees used the occasion to offer condolences and solidarity with the Coordinator and his family.
In their joint remarks, the State Public Relations Officer, Comrade Gilead Duru, and the State Organizing Secretary, Ambassador Anselem Anokwute, initially proposed a shift in the date of the inauguration to honor the bereaved Coordinator. However, due to time constraints and in the interest of organizational momentum, the ceremony proceeded as planned.
The formal inauguration was conducted by the State Secretary, Hon. Comrade Adigwe Ossai Anthony.
In their remarks following the inauguration, National Auditor,Hon. Increase Nzeribe who represented the National Leader Hon. Uche Justin Chukwudi, (Iyinwanzedimma) expressed confidence with the large turnout of the members and urged the Excos to work in synergy with the national body and expressed confidence in the good legacies of the National Leader, Hon Uche Justin Chukwudi,in his pragmatic efforts to galvanize the organization.
Also speaking the Director of Security, Hon. Innocent Aririatura—who also facilitated the venue—urged members to remain committed to the mission and core objectives of the organization. He emphasized the importance of unity, mutual support, and dedication to the values enshrined in the group’s oath of allegiance.
CIGREHDI’s primary objectives include:
Human Capital Development: Empowering individuals at the grassroots level through skill acquisition, empowerment programs, and capacity-building initiatives.
Service to Humanity: Undertaking humanitarian services to uplift the lives of the less privileged and marginalized communities.
Protection of Members and the Vulnerable: Standing against oppression, intimidation, and humiliation of members and the poor in society.
Support for Good Governance: Advocating for transparent, accountable, and people-centered governance.
Leadership Support: Encouraging individuals committed to CIGREHDI’s values to seek leadership roles where they can champion positive social change.
Collaboration with Security and Judicial Institutions: Partnering with law enforcement and the judiciary to fight crime, ensure justice, and protect human rights.
Promotion of National Unity Through Indigenous Languages: Fostering cultural integration by promoting Nigeria’s three major languages—Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba.
Other Developmental Initiatives: Supporting projects that align with the organization’s mission of community and human development.
Among those present at the ceremony were Hon. Increase Nzeribe, National Auditor; Comrade Endy Okorie, State Deputy Coordinator; Hon.Adigwe Ossai Anthony, Secretary; Mr.Chidi Odilam, Auditor; Hon. Innocent Aririatura, Director of Security; Hon. Gilead Duru, PRO; Ambassador Anselem Anokwute Organizing Secretary, Mr.Samson Ijeoma Assistant Organizing Secretary, Comrade Ben Nwakuche, Director of Youth Affairs; Miss Nancy Obieshinasi, Treasurer and Mrs. Ifeoma Okam, Women Leader. Others included Comrade Gozie Ekeogu (Ikeduru LGA Coordinator) and Mr. Ifeanyi Ukaegbu (Ohaji/Egbema LGA Coordinator).
The members unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to the association’s objectives and emphasized the importance of consistently bringing the organization’s banner to future meetings for proper identification and visibility.
