The Imo State chapter of the Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA) has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Imo State Universal Basic Education Board (IMSUBEB), Hon. Chief Chidiebere Egboh, at his office in Owerri.
The delegation, led by the State Coordinator, Elder Kenneth Amogu, said the visit was aimed at identifying with the Board and exploring possible areas of partnership. These areas include teacher training and capacity building, educational security, budgeting, and other key aspects of basic education where civil society plays a vital role.
While commending the IMSUBEB leadership for its notable achievements so far, Elder Amogu urged the Board not to relent in its efforts. He also assured the Chairman of the coalition’s continued collaboration and support in advancing the goals of universal basic education in the state.
In his response, Hon. Egboh expressed appreciation for the coalition’s ongoing contributions and affirmed the Board’s willingness to partner with CSACEFA for improved service delivery. He emphasized that basic education remains the bedrock of any meaningful society and must therefore be prioritized for sustainable development.
Also speaking during the visit, Mrs. Juliet Okoyie delivered a vote of thanks on behalf of the delegation. She expressed satisfaction with the warm reception accorded to the group and pledged CSACEFA’s continued support, stating, “To whom much is given, much is expected.”
