In a major stride towards improving healthcare delivery in Imo State, Governor Hope Uzodimma has commenced the construction of 55 new Primary Health Centres (PHCs) across all Local Government Areas of the state.

The initiative, described as a cornerstone of the Uzodimma administration’s healthcare reform agenda, aims to provide accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare—particularly in rural and underserved communities.

Speaking at the launch of the project, Governor Uzodimma emphasized that the new health centres would be fully equipped and staffed to provide 24-hour services. He noted that special attention will be given to maternal and child health, disease prevention, and emergency medical care.
