Eid-el-Fitr Governor Uzodimma Celebrates Muslims Community in Grand Style

Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma has celebrated with the Muslim community in Imo State in a grand style to mark the joyful occasions of Eid-el-Fitr 2025, at the State Government House Owerri.
Senator Hope commended their devotions, patience, and sacrifices throughout the holy month of Ramadan, urging them to uphold the virtues of peace, unity, and tolerance.
The 2025 Eid-el-Fitr celebration was held at the Banquet Hall of the Imo State Government House, Owerri, on Monday, March 31, 2025, marking the second day of the end of the fasting period.
The event was a gesture of honor to the God of the Muslim faithful in the global society.
Governor Uzodinma reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering religious harmony and inclusivity, emphasizing that Imo remains home to all, regardless of faith.
He encouraged Muslims to continue praying for the state’s progress and national unity, wishing them a blessed and prosperous celebration.
Speaking Imo State Chief Imam Shekk Abdulsami Yusuf described the 2025 Eid-el- fitr as a time of spiritual revival and time to love one another mostly and appreciated the State governor Senator Hope Uzodimma for celebration of the festival with the Muslim community in Imo State.
Shekk Abdulsami Yusuf said that the Ramadan festival is a successful season of the ending of the long period fasting and Prayer by the Muslims as the successful season of the Eid-el-fitr has provided the nation opportunity for revival, peace and harmony as a family.
He said that the time is calling for tolerance and patience and the support of the government.
Speaking. HRH Eze Auwal Baba Suleman Sarki Hausawa said that the Hausa Community in Imo State are happy to come to the celebration with the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma who he described as a detribalized Nigeria and a good father who always eager to celebrate the Muslims in the State. He said that the occasion was to thank Almighty God for the successful fasting and Prayer season and the unity of Islam religion. ” We thank Allah for keeping us alive to witness and celebrate the 2025 Eid-el-fitr in good health and prayed for the State mostly leadership of the government.
Contributing, Ambassador Hassan Adamu Sokoto said that they came to Imo State government house inline with the Governor’s invitation to the Muslims Community for the celebration of the Eid-el-fitr which he described as a successful outing.
On the reconciliation of the Faction in the leadership of Hausa Community in the State, Hassan Adamu Sokoto said that the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma is a father figure who has used his wealth of experience to enthroned peace among the Muslims family in the State.
He pointed out that without peace it’s impossible to get development as the enlargement of the number of people going for the Mecca Muslims prigrimage is the success of the peaceful harmonization and resolution among them.
We are now in unity and development must be achieved as we are together with our traditional ruler HRH Eze Auwal Baba Suleman Sarki Hausawa and the people. We are making sure that everyone is being Carry along in the leadership of the Hausa Community.
As the governors SA on Northern Affairs and the Revered United Nations Eminent Peace Ambassador we are happy with the returns of peace among the Hausa Community in the State and we are calling for tolerance, patience to support the Government of Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
Earlier in his address Governor Uzodimma said that he is celebrating with the Muslim community as an integral part of the state and assured the Muslims faithfuls of the government continue partnership and overall public interest in their welfares. He urged them to celebrate 2025 Eid-el-fitr with the spirit of love harmony and unity.
