IPMAN TASKFORCE AGAINST BUNKERING, ADULTERATION OF PETROL COLLABORATES SECURITY AGENCIES

The Independent Petroleum marketers Association of Nigeria ( IPMAN) Taskforce National leadership has reinvigorated Imo state branch of the taskforce team fighting against Illegal Petroleum Bunkering, product adulteration , Pipelines vandalisation, inaccurate product measurements to the public and other unwholesome practices .
The National IPMAN President Alhaji Abubakar Gerima represented by his SSA on Security and Vice National Taskforce Chairman ,Hon. Promise Orji with the IPMAN National Taskforce Coordinator Comrade Nixon Ahanonu who addressed the Heads of security agencies with the members of the Imo Taskforce Committee disclosed that the die is cast as the Heads of Security Agencies are in collaboration with the National Taskforce team in the all important assignment.
IPMAN President stated that the mandate of the National Taskforce team is a total fight against to abate criminalities and all other vices in the oil and gas sector.
He noted that the involvement of this Heads of security agencies shows national Taskforce relevance to the economy of the nation.
This including the visits to the Security Agencies on Friday, 29 March 2025, are the General Officer Commanding the Artillery Brigade Obinze, The Imo State Police Commissioner, CP Aboki Danjuma, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, Commander Basil Igwebueze, State Director Department of State Security Services, DSS,
Hon. Orji who doubles as the SSA on Security as well as Vice Chairman of IPMAN National taskforce on Petroleum Bunkering , Pipeline Vandalisation, inaccurate Product measurements , Adulteration & other related Sharp Practices in the oil and gas sector, stated that, IPMAN National taskforce is poised to restored Confidence among stakeholders and the Publics.
Speaking , Comrade Prince Nixon Ahanonu , the National taskforce Coordinator reiterated the enormous challenges Petroleum Bunkers create to the federal government and our economy, vowing that the National IPMAN taskforce will never leave any stone unturned in ensuring smooth running of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s government.
He noted that the need for integrity of National taskforce team declaring that IPMAN screened and chose people above board with impeccable characters with Hon. Uchenna Ajala Imo State Coordinator and his Team the right result will be achieved his team based on integrity and excellence.
The IPMAN National taskforce Chairman reminded Imo state Coordinator and his members that their task is enormous to fish out culprits , saboteurs and criminals in the oil and gas sector with the efforts of the security agencies as it’s their major reason for their visit to support the good legacies and policies of the federal government of Nigeria under President Ahmed Bola Tinubu as Imo State remains a key player in Oil and gas sector in Nigeria in particular and Africa in general.
The Imo State IPMAN Taskforce Coordinator, Comrade Ajala, who gladly accepted his appointment and responsibility to ensure upward advancement and fairness in the discharge of the onorous assignment in the fight against Vandalism, Saboteurs and Adulteration and other sharp practices.
In another submission, Hon. Nixon Ahanonu, told the audience that the Taskforce team will work in collaborations with the security agencies mostly the police and others to prosecute the offenders and contraveners in the upstream Oil and gas sector inline with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Responding the Security Agencies in Imo State, speaking through their Heads, Including General Commanding Officer Artillery Brigade, Obinze, in Owerri West LGA, DG DSS, Commandants Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp and Imo State Police Commissioner, CP Aboki Danjuma, in a separate remarks said that, they are happy to work in collaborations with the new Members of IPMAN Taskforce Imo State and thanks the National Leadership of the IPMAN Taskforce for coming in person for the official introductions of the new development to them and promised to work in synergy with the group to actualize the visions,aims and objective to stop Oil product Adulteration, Vandalism, Bunkering and other related sharp practices which has remained a major security threat in the past and appreciate the IPMAN National Leadership for their good stand to eradicate the crimes in oil and gas sector
The Imo State Police Commissioner, CP Aboki Danjuma, expressed happiness to see the head of the IPMAN National Taskforce team in Imo State and promised to work in synergy with the IPMAN Imo State Taskforce Committee.
