Chief Charles Okeke as OCCIMA President Will Attract More Members – Vitals MD, Uchenna Nnodim

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Vitals Integrated Business Limited, Hon. Uchenna Nnodim, has commended members and the leadership of the Owerri Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OCCIMA) for the successful transition of leadership that produced Chief Charles Okeke (Odi Uko na Mba) as the new State President.
Speaking shortly after the investiture ceremony, Hon. Nnodim described Chief Okeke as a progressive, action-oriented young leader with a remarkable passion for excellence and success.
According to him, the new president’s inaugural speech renewed his confidence in the future of the chamber and inspired him to become a member of the organization.
“I am here to support my friend, a progressive man who has emerged as the President of OCCIMA today. Odi Uko na Mba is a tested and trusted ally. Personally, I will join OCCIMA because of his leadership qualities and my confidence in his vision for the chamber,” Nnodim stated.
Chief Charles Okeke officially took over the leadership of OCCIMA from Chief Barr. Anthony Amadi, with a commitment to reposition the chamber and promote economic development, commerce, industry, agriculture, and investment across Imo State.
Addressing journalists after his inauguration, Chief Okeke said much work lies ahead to revive the chamber and strengthen its contribution to the economic development of Imo State. He stressed the need for collaboration with government agencies, the private sector, and the media to achieve the chamber’s objectives.
“What happened today is a change of leadership in the Owerri Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture. I have been inaugurated as the current President. Before my election, the chamber was facing several challenges. I am determined to make a positive and lasting impact by providing visionary and purposeful leadership that will benefit both OCCIMA and the Government of Imo State,” he said.
Chief Okeke further pledged to provide inclusive and innovative leadership that would restore the chamber to its former glory.
“We will pursue an all-inclusive approach to leadership and reposition the chamber for greater relevance. I appeal to members, stakeholders, and development partners to support this administration as we work together to move OCCIMA forward and promote sustainable economic growth in Imo State,” he added.
Some Imo State Commissioners witnessed the event including the Commissioner for Industry Mines and Solid mineral Barr. Gerry Egemba and Barr Enyinna Onuegbu for Land Regional Planning and Development who expressed satisfaction with the new OCCIMA leadership and promised to work with them for bringing grassroots economic development to the State.
