A Chieftens of All Progressive Congress, APC Imo State from Oguta LGA, Hon.Engr Ndubuisi Chibueze, has made case for Oguta one Bloc and aligned himself with Governor Hope Uzodimma’s decisions to ensure equity and fairness in the upcoming Imo State council polls.
He believes that the Chairmanship position should be contested only by Aspirants from Oguta 1, as Oguta 2 already holds all elective positions in Oguta Local Government Area.
Chibueze argues that it is morally justifiable and fair to allow Aspirants from Oguta 1 to emerged Party Candidate by allowing those from only Oguta one to contest the APC primary election, as they have been marginalized in previous elective positions.
He cites the example of Oguta 2 holding all elective positions, including the Oguta State Constituency member, Federal House of Representative, NDDC Commissioner, Minister of Federal Republic of Nigeria and SA, Media while Oguta 1 only has an S A ISOPADEC and a Commissioner.
The Governor’s stance on zoning and adhering to the zoning arrangement is also highlighted, emphasizing that from the area those who have already occupied elective positions should not contest the chairmanship to allow others to emerge.
Chibueze identifies four aspirants from Oguta 1, including Hon Uche Chukwudi (Iyi of Egbuoma), who he believes is the most qualified due to his ward’s lack of representation in the council.
He emphasizes that Chukwudi’s emergence would be an express one to salvage the council with his clear vision aligned with the Governor’s 3R Mantra.
