Imo NDDC Commissioner, Uchegbu, Donates Cash Gifts to APC Youth Group for Christmas, New Year Celebrations

The Imo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Support group, under the aegis of the APC Youth League (AYL), has expressed gratitude to its Grand Patron, Chief Dr. Kyrian Chidiebere Uchegbu, for donations of cash gifts to support their members for the 2025 Christmas and New Year celebrations across the state.
Dr. Uchegbu, the Imo State representative on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), donations the total sums to APC Youth League members across the 27 Local Government Area of the state, covering the three senatorial zones. The presentation took place at the APC State Secretariat along Okigwe road Owerri with the members overwhelmingly expressing happiness with the grand patron Dr. Ukaegbu’s good heart and passionate efforts to youth development.
Speaking at the event, the State Coordinator of the APC Youth League, Dr. Promise Okorie, commended, Dr. Uchegbu for his generosity and commitment to youth development and empowerment. He described the NDDC commissioner as a proactive and passionate leader who prioritizes rebuilding trust and promoting unity among young people in the state.
Dr. Okorie explained that the gathering was deliberately organized to ensure transparent and equitable distributions of the cash gift to the Local Government Coordinator, Zonal Coordinator Youth and woman Leaders, while also preparing the youth for upcoming political engagements later in the year.
According to him, the gesture has further strengthened unity among APC youths and demonstrated their readiness to support the party’s objectives. He encouraged party members who are yet to fully participate to join efforts aimed at sustaining the party’s dominance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Also speaking, Dr. Okorie who doubles as South-East Coordinator of the APC Youth Forum and Chairman of APC Youth Forum Coordinators in the Niger Delta—praised Governor Hope Uzodimma, describing him as a pragmatic and visionary leader whose developmental strides are widely acknowledged across the state.
He added that beneficiaries of the largesse included youth coordinators from the 27 local government areas with attendance to Women and Youth leaders , extending same gesture to the representatives of Hausa and Yoruba communities and special citizens, ensuring inclusiveness within the party’s youth structure.
Dr. Okorie further commended the leadership of the APC State Chairman, Sir MacDonald Ebere, and the State Organizing Secretary, Hon. Iyke Umeh, for their efforts in strengthening the party and positioning it for future electoral victories.
While appreciating Governor Uzodimma for his fatherly role in the state, he reaffirmed that APC youths remain committed to the ideals of the party and pledged their continued support toward ensuring success in forthcoming elections, including the President’s second-term bid. “We have more work to do for our party and must wish to keep ourselves intact for the interest of the future” Dr. Okorie.
