OKIGWE GLOBAL ELDERS FORUM (OKGEF)
INVITES THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO THE 2025 “IRIJI” (NEW YAM) FESTIVAL*

The Board of Trustees, Advisory Board, Executive Council, and the entire members of the Okigwe Global Elders Forum (OKGEF), in collaboration with the people of Okigwe Senatorial Zone, proudly announce the 2025 edition of the **“Iri Ji / Ahiajoku Okigwe”** (New Yam) Festival.

This time-honored festival is a celebration of harvest, unity, and cultural heritage. The general public is cordially invited to be part of this vibrant event, which showcases the rich traditions of the Okigwe people.

The occasion will feature traditional music and dance, cultural performances, indigenous cuisine, and the symbolic **“Iwa Ji”** (New Yam Ritual). Dignitaries, traditional rulers, cultural troupes, and guests from across Nigeria and the diaspora are expected to attend.
