Five Years After: Heroes Should Avoid Being Sheroes, Uzodimma Yet to Embark on His Signature Projects in Imo State

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma came to Power on 15 January 2020 after the Supreme Court judgment to his favour on the 14th day, Like an automobile Mechanic on a test run, he named his administrations, a 3 R system, Recovery, Reconstructions and Rehabilitation, started well as Heroes and should avoid all political sentiments and sycophants not to end his administration as sheroes, five years after without any signature projects,Make name for yourself and avoid dwellings on a patched work.
“A man shouldn’t end up a good fight like woman, Stay in Imo State and work for the State you are elected to serve as a governor” Imo people’s voice.
Imo people, actually witnessed the Reconstructions of Owerri/Orlu and Owerri/Okigwe road while Owerri/ Umuahia is ongoing with good touches on some of the Intra city roads in Owerri Imo State Capital. MCC Uratta, Dick Tiger, Relief Market, Chukwuma Nwoha and many others.
It’s pertinent to note, that the governor also attracted many good and people oriented developmental projects which has been long abandoned such as the Dredging of Urashi Oguta lake to Degema Town down to the Atlantic Ocean as a water Way trade route for not only the State but the entire South East region those are the signature projects and should be continue irrespective of the huge sum involved.
This project attracted a lots of ecominum and commendations to the government of Senator Hope Uzodimma as visionary and pragmatic one but abandoned immediately the Nigeria Navy submitted their survey analysis to the State.
Others are the overblown Awomamma/Okwudor road awarded in 202, by the governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, on a promise to deliver within 18 months abandoned, Sadly the road has remained impassable, a dead trapped and cut off.
In the same vain, most of the road awarded in Orlu Zone including Ukwu Orji to Orsu Obodo community, (a place for the current Imo State Minister, Dr. Ms Doris Anita Uzoka) in Oguta Local Government Area and many others completely abandoned.
The governor Senator Hope Uzodimma should be aware of the fact that Imo people are taking records, Demolition of Senator Rochas Okorocha’s Shoddy projects or renovation same is still referred to Okorocha’s Projects such as the IICC, Orlu to Owerri road reconstruction and other internal roads inside the city originally open by the previous government is not Uzodimma’s own projects. “Nwoke kuchie nwuye Nnaya ogbaka nwanyi”.
The Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma should adhered to some of the advise and information reaching the State from his bossom friend Former Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Fabian Ihekweme to Change his ideology and do the needful, put down a signature project for his name and family to avoid “hard I known tomorrow”. A stitches in time saves nine. The attacks from Omo is a wake up call and shouldn’t be ascribe as the enemy of the government
While it’s good to save the State from infrastructure decay and collapse, it’s more importantly and usual for the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma as an Orlu son to put his own stamp projects in the development of the State not dwelling on Reconstructions and Renovations for eight years.
Yes, Senator Rochas Okorocha didn’t do well alleged as a governor but he made great impacts in so many areas such as expansions of Imo State Estate and Values Business, Demolition of Crowded Eke Onuwa, New Markets, Building of 1st to 4th Inland roads and opened the ways for Governor Uzodimma’s speedy development of Owerri to Orlu road through Amakohia, Akwakuma down to Nwaoriubi and Umuaka.
while former Governor Chief Ikedi Ohakim made that of Owerri/Okigwe possible having paved and removed all shanties along Orji to Ikeduru LGA during his tenure.
The Owerri Umuahia road construction was seriously delayed because there wasn’t such a touch before and the road will continue to suffer the snarky type of constructions even after the delivery of the project by the company because of frightening and afraid to demolish most of the obstructions along the way to avoid compensations.
Whatever, the government has so far recovered is yet to be made public as his media handlers and Commissioner for Information, Declan Mbadiwe Emelumba, allegedly ill-advised their Principal (Governor) to avoid meetings with the Journalists vie-sa-vie Imo people who are now in confusions and despair to get the achievement of the government Recovery Sections. including, Money’s, Land and other properties belonging to the State.
As to have the glimpse of the governor in Imo State is like to see a guest on a special occasion and after the celebrations the participants will peaceful zoom off to their safety destinations either in Abuja or Leaving the State like Autonomous Community without a monarch.
