Imo State Drivers Association has thrown support to one of their leaders, Elder Anaelechi Ukanwune (Obowo) for Councillors Election in Amuzi Ikennanzizi Ward in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State.
Elder Anaelechi Ukanwune Obowo who was described as a reformer and founder of some Drivers Association in the State including Self Employed Commercial Driver’s Association Imo State Chapter, and Chief Executive Officer, Self Employed Professional Drivers Association of Nigeria others include Federal Polytechnic Nekede Franchise, Drivers Welfare Association, Drivers Welfare Club of Nigeria and Founder, Imo State Almagamated Drivers Association with over 25 Member Unions.
The President Imo City Transport Drivers as well the, Chairman bio-metric data capture and painting Committee and many others has remained a sure battery for the interest and nomination of his people for the Councillor to represent Amuzi Ikenanazizi Ward in Obowo Council Area September, 21, 2024 Election in Imo State.
Elder Anaelechi Ukanwune ( Obowo) a native of Umuochieze, Ndiokwu, Amuzi Ikennanzizi, Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State, is eminently qualified to serve the people in the capacity of Councillor having been tested and trusted as a great Drivers Vibrant Unionist and leader with over fifteen thousand followers
Elder Ukanwune’s wonderful leadership experience and sagacity was exemplified during the last elections of Federal House and Senate where he showcase his capacity to win his booths, booth 11 and booth 18 in Umuochieze, Which he equally repeated
In Governorship and House of Assembly on 11 November 2023 as Hope campaign coordinator in Amuzi ward.
On the 9th of August 2023, Elder Anaelechi Ukanwune organised the Imo State drivers for the endorsement of His Excellency Dist. Senator Hope Uzodimma at Nyanya plaza Abuja, on the 12th of August, He equally organised all the units for the endorsement of his Excellency Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma and on the 23rd of August, there was a shutdown whereby over 15,000 drivers came out in Mass to endorse His Excellency the Executive Governor of Imo State Dist Sen Hope Uzodimma.
On the 10th of October 2023, Elder Anaelechi Ukanwune assembled all his community Umuochieze to his compound and endorsed his Excellency and used that medium to empower women.
And the campaign rally both senate rally, House of Assembly rally Elder Anaelechi participated. This shows that he the man for the people.
Which according to sources was the first of it’s kind in the political history of the Ward for the party to win overwhelmingly.
He said that he is coming out to with good mission to enthrone Competent, Integrity, Ranking, Accountability And Simplicity as the right choice of the people of Amuzi ward.
