Chief Cyracus Obichendu (Onyeoma CY) has said that politics is neither done on social media nor won on platform.
He made the remark at a meeting of Isialambano APC held in Owerri to brief party members on the preparation and nomination forms for chairmanship and Councillorship for the forthcoming election in the state.
He used the opportunity to advise aspirants who have obtained forms to be careful while filling to avoid mistake that could lead wasting their money.
He also reminded them that before one steps down for another person,you must have obtained your form or expression of interest first because no election is giving free of charge.
Introducing,the party chairman directed that those vying for chairmanship position should identify themselves.
At that juncture, Chief Obijeaku from Amauzari,chief Lawson Chukwu from Osuh, comrade Joseph Eboh from OGBOR, Ahubelem Chizi from Amauzari,Bora Okebaram from Umuebbie Ugiri, Evangelist CHIKA OKOROIKE,Golden UZOWURU,and Mrs Collins Obi though was representated by someone.
The chairman welcomed them and gave them the opportunity to introduce themselves.
Mr Chairman however informed members that the process of Knowing those interested for chairmanship will continue after today’s meeting.
For councillorship,sir Obichendu gave the twelve INEC wards the opportunity to know the interested aspirants.
OSUAMA ANARA recorded 9 persons,Osuowerre ward 1 4 persons,ward 2 ,1 person, Osuachara ward,4 persons,Ugiri Oka,2 persons,Obollo ward,4 persons,OGBOR 5 persons,Ibeme 1 persons,UMUOZU,3 persons,Amauzari3 persons,Umunkwo 2 persons,and Amaraku 3 persons,totaling 41 aspirants from the twelve wards.
Continuing,the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs Chief Mrs Ruby Emele thanked members for attending the meeting and enjoined them to continue with the brotherliness and love existing within APC party in Isialambano,that with this,the sky is our limit.
Not stopping at that,she called on members to remember the family of our PRO Late Julius Enemaku,and pleaded for more donations to enable the family to move on after the burial.
In her continued goodwill character she made another reasonable donation in further support of the burial.
Describing the late PRO as a PEN Master,our mouthpiece at the House of Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Transport Hon Okwubanego SAM.Osuji said late Hon Julius Enemaku sacrificed all to see that our party was brought to a greater height.
He promised that the burial of Julius aka Julius Prudence must not be shamed , therefore,in addition of what he donated before,he made it to a round number of 500k.
In his continued description of whom Julius was,he said this”” in spite of he found himself,he turned it into ability “”.
On the forthcoming election,the loud voice of Isialambano reiterated his resolve to see that the election is seamless with a charge all zones should respect the zoning formula,that he who has sacrificed will be entitled for a reward.
Concluding,the party called on members for more donations on behalf of our fallen and active member late Hon Julius Enemaku.
At that point,the meeting recorded another appreciable response.
Moved by the show of love to our late brother and friend Hon Uche Chukwu ECHEREODO he thanked the Party Excos,leaders,and members of our great party for unquantifiable sense of love shown to the berieved family and his Community in general.
