Inauguration of Mbaise Chamber of Commerce holds today

An epoch will be made today as the long awaited Mbaise Chamber of Commerce Industry Mine and Agriculture is set for a symbolic and historic inauguration.
The event comes up at 11am at the strategically located Chris V1 Hotels and Resort, Ogbe in Ahiara, along Mbaise – Obowo – Umuahia Road. Incidentally, the serving Ezurezu Mbaise president general, Chief Joe Anosike, who also doubles as the pioneer president of the chamber will equally and officially be recognized with an investiture to that effect.
Lioness Jovita Ada Iroemeh, the Founder of Mbaise Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture, whose efforts and that of other well meaning Mbaise wards towards the realization of this majestically sought after recognition have really done wonderfully for the Mbaise nation and indeed Imo State businesses in the area of commerce, industry and agriculture, particularly.
Iromeh was full of commendation for the pioneer president Anosike whom she described as “pragmatic and ingenious”.
She lauded the late Dr. Igwe, the then president of Owerri Chamber of Commerce, who announced it to the world that Mbaise was due for a chamber in one of his meetings as president.
According to Iromeh, “The role of OCCIMA, in the actualization of Mbaise Chamber of Commerce was immense from the start even after Dr. Igwe, his successors like Mr. Everest Okpara, continued with the struggle. Also, Barr. Tony Amadi and Leoni Igwe, of Occima, were a part of the project that saw to the realization of what we are doing today even as IIP Ide Udeagbala made our registration easy and possible”.
Other individuals whose contributions played vital roles towards the successful registration of Mbaise Chamber of Commerce are Mr Frank Nneji. Iroemeh appreciated him “for your early, well tailored and timely piece of advice”.
Chief (Sir) Chibuzo Nnorom of Mbaise Universal Assembly (MUA) and the president of Federation of Mbaise Media Professionals, Comrade Eze Adukwu were eulogized for their early recognition and appreciation of the existence of Mbaise Chamber of Commerce!
As it stands, Harod Mbanefo Nwanne, chairman inauguration committee has done excellently as the event will surely go on smoothly today. Also, Chief (Dr) Desmond Chikwe, director general, Mbaise Chamber of Commerce Industry Mine and Agriculture deserves applause for his dedication and steadfastness which ensured today’s dream a reality.
