Obiaju Expresses Confidence in Imo PDP, As Dike Emerges New Caretaker Committee Chairman

The Chairman of People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Isu Local Government Area of Imo State, Hon. Onyinye Obiaju has expressed implicit confidence in the new leadership of the Party.
Fielding questions from Newsmen on the recent mass exodus of members from the Party on Wednesday 8 May, 2024, immediately after inauguration of Imo State New Caretaker Committee of PDP, Hon. Obiaju expressed happiness that they have been able to take back their political Party from those who always want to hold the party at “ransom” and thereby fielding candidates of their choice into elective positions against overriding public interest during electioneering period.
Hear him,”those that left the Party are the ones that wanted to hold Imo PDP at ransom,but failed to succeed and they left. The party is vibrant, strengthened and poised to take over the leadership of Imo State in the next elections. And I am optimistic that the new Imo State Caretaker Committee of PDP led by Hon. Chidi Dike will take the Party to the next level “. Hon Obiaju said.
Similarly, the former Imo State House of Assembly Candidate for Oru West State Constituency in 2023 general elections under PDP platform, Hon. Onyekachi Onumajuru described PDP as the Party to watch in 2027 general elections. “What happened to our party today is not new and this is not the first time people left PDP and paved way for other political heavy weights to join the Party. We are going to heavily mobilize to strengthen our Party and I am optimistic that PDP has capacity of winning next elections in Imo State”,he concluded.
In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated Chairman of Imo State Caretaker Committee of PDP, Hon Chidi Dike promised to take the party to victory and Successful repositions that would guarantee equity and fair treatment of its members.
