IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY: AMADI URGES IMO WORKERS IN HIS MINISTRY TO SHOW RESILIENT, DEDICATION TO DUT

Imo State Commissioner for Digital Economy and E-Government, Dr Chimezie Amadi, has called on the civil servants attached to his Ministry on the need for improve productivity to show resilient and dedications to duty a guarantee for enhanced service delivery in the Ministry’s new dispensation

In the marching order, Dr Amadi charged the staff to galvanize and double their efforts to achieve the vision of the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma to make Imo digitally empowered and efficient to fast-track the socio-economic development of the state are accomplished within record time

It would be recall, that, Dr.Amadi was one of the few Commissioners in Imo State recently reappointed by Governor Uzodimma on account of their outstanding performance in the previous dispensation.

The reappointed Commissioners and the new ones numbering 23 were on April 30 inaugurated by Governor Uzodimma.

While resuming office shortly after his swearing-in, Dr Amadi addressed the staff of his Ministry and commended them for their hard work, commitment to their obligations to strengthen the successes recorded during his previous dispensations.

He however reminded them that the reward for hard work was more work.

Urging them against resting on their oars, he noted: “The tasks ahead are enormous and largely challenging you must brace up and show unflinching commitment for us to be able to confront the tasks productively and effectively”.

He listed some of the digital-based accomplishments of Governor Uzodimma through his Ministry to include: Commencement of a robust digital regime for communities, institutions and business clusters; realization of Skill-Up-Imo-Project designed to empower youths by training them on digital skills acquisition, create wealth among the youths and to make the state commercially viable and economically competitive and driving broadband penetration into all the 27 LGAs of Imo State.

Dr Amadi further noted that Governor Uzodimma’s digital revolution had earned the state, the Governor and himself prestigious national awards and honours thereby underscoring Imo as the best state in digital technology.

“Last year, Imo won the best state award on ICT human capacity instituted by the Presidency through its Bureau of Public Service Reforms and I was honoured with Distinguished Govtech Trailblazer Award as the Commissioner in charge of the Ministry that is anchoring the state digital drive”, he noted.

While setting agenda and target for the new dispensation, he told his Ministry’s staff that the Ministry would strengthen its success in technical skills development and would pursue the building of digital infrastructure desired to serve as the fulcrum for Governor Uzodimma’s 10-year Economic Development Plan.
