2027: Eligwe Anchors ADP Campaign on Better Representation, Quality Governance, Sustainable Development

As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election, Princess Christina Ijeoma Eligwe, the Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidate for the Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency, is placing Better Representation, Quality Governance, Sustainable Development and Good Community Leadership at the centre of her campaign message.
Eligwe’s candidature is listed among those for the constituency in the 2027 National Assembly election. Recent reports on her emergence as the ADP candidate also state that she is campaigning on people-oriented and effective representation, with emphasis on economic empowerment and improved livelihoods.
Better Representation
For Princess Eligwe, better representation means maintaining a stronger connection between the people of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East and the National Assembly.
Her campaign platform presents representation as more than occupying a legislative seat, but as an opportunity to articulate constituency concerns, pursue appropriate legislative interventions and promote initiatives capable of improving the welfare of constituents.

Her previous public-service experience includes service as Special Adviser to the Imo State Government on Sustainable Development Goals and Humanitarian Services, with involvement in social-development and humanitarian programmes.

Her stated priorities include creating opportunities for economic empowerment and supporting measures aimed at improving household livelihoods across the three local government areas.

The campaign presents leadership as a responsibility to listen to communities, understand their challenges and pursue practical solutions through appropriate legislative and development channels.
Eligwe has previously described her leadership philosophy in terms of service to the people elected representatives are mandated to serve.
