Nwachukwu commended the maturity, sportsmanship and commitment displayed by aspirants across the state, noting that their conduct reflected a genuine desire to strengthen the APC and promote internal democracy.

According to him, the outcome of the primaries should not be viewed as a setback for those who were unsuccessful but rather as an opportunity to consolidate party unity and work collectively toward future electoral victories.

The federal lawmaker particularly appreciated those who contested alongside him for the APC ticket in Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency, including renowned entrepreneur and socialite, Hon. Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest. He described Okechukwu as a hardworking, enterprising and supportive young leader who has remained a brother and committed ally.

“I sincerely appreciate all the aspirants who participated in the exercise and accepted the outcome in good faith. Their conduct has further strengthened our party and demonstrated their commitment to the progress of APC,” he said.

He further expressed gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodimma for organizing the post-primary stakeholders’ meeting aimed at fostering reconciliation, unity and cohesion within the party.

The lawmaker reassured constituents that his priority remains attracting the dividends of democracy to the federal constituency and advancing the welfare of the people.

Meanwhile, Governor Hope Uzodimma, who is the leader of the APC in Imo State, commended former aspirants in the recently concluded primaries for demonstrating loyalty, maturity and commitment to the party by supporting candidates who emerged as flag bearers.

The governor made the remarks during a post-primary stakeholders’ meeting held at the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC), Owerri, where party leaders, stakeholders, candidates, former aspirants and members gathered to review the outcome of the primaries and strategize for future elections.

Senator Uzodimma described the peaceful conduct of the primaries as a reflection of the APC’s commitment to internal democracy, fairness, equity and the principles of proper zoning.

He expressed satisfaction with the level of support and cooperation exhibited by party stakeholders and urged members to close ranks and work together in the overall interest of the party.
