Uphold, sustain Mgba Amagbor Ihitte cultural festival: Eze Nwanguma tasks indigenes

   A respected Imo Monarch HRH Eze Tony Ufomba Nwanguma ” Ozirioha 1 of Onitsha Nweafor ” in Ezinhitte Local Government Area,  Imo State has called on the people of Amagbor Ihitte to uphold theiir Mgba cultural festival.

   Eze Nwanguma  made the call  while interracting with Newsmen  on the occasion of the 2026 Mgba Amagbor cultural festival and launching of 100 million naira building of cultural centre held recently at Eke-ala Amaukwu Okoromiri Amagbor Ihitte.
   Eze Nwanguma who came as a guest  identified the event as very historic and reminded the people of the community that the festival represents their culture and showcases what makes them what they are, adding that they celebrated their identity
   The Royal father also appealed to philanthropists in the area to live up to their expectations of contributing to the development of culture of their communities.
   He maintained that a lot of youths are idle, adding that if the youths are engaged in the wrestling tournaments like the Mgba cultural festival, they would be distracted from crime and other anti societal behaviours and society will be a better place to live in.
  He identified Mgba Amagbor as a cultural heritage which is used to know the strength of the young boys in the community, 

   Eze Nwanguma who felt impressed by the 2026 event , also noted that the Festival will help curb youth restiveness.

  He reiterated that  the festival  also  serves as a panacae for happiness and reunion, stressing that their forefathers would be pleased to see them upholding and sustaining their cultural heritage, the legacy they left for the present and future generations.

    Eze Nwanguma urged Amagbor people to always sustain their culture and give maximum support to their traditional ruler,. Eze Engr Sir Mike Orji whom  he revealed is his bossom friend..

   The Chairman, Local Organizing Committee, Mr Berthram Ndudiri Ogu of Obetus Investment, Lagos said the annual event was organized to make youths compete and make their talents known.
    
   The occasion was well attended by dignitaries, top government functionaries and traditional rulers including Imperial High Chief Cajethan Nkwuzo (Dikeoha 1 of Amagbor) Mr Livinus Chukwuemeka Uhuegbu, former President General, Chief Felix Nwakanma and Lolo Caroline Nwakanma (Okangaoziri 1 of Amagbor) and Ishinze Obioma Ubani among others.
