BLACK XMAS EVE IN IMO: TWO DIE IN GHASTLY ROAD ACCIDENT

Two persons have been confirmed dead after a bicycle carrying two youths rammed into a Mesdes formatic jeep along Okigwe road on the eve of Christmas.
Eyewitness said the victims were driving on a small rubber rubber bike after a football training because in Orji Owerri north LGA when they had a head-on collision with the jeep and died instantly.
The incident had caused a serious traffic gridlock along the busy Okigwe road as Christmas travellers were stocked and crying out to God and traffic warders for remedy.
As at the time of filing this report, angry youths had surrounded the scene of the incident, causing stampede.
A sympathiser who spoke to our correspondent said the two victims are from Amatta in Ikeduru LGA and were returning from a football training in Orji.
The deceased, according to him, had been evacuated by an ambulance as efforts to reach the PRO of FRSC and police spokesman, Henry Okoye proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.
