Appeals Governor Uzodimma’s Aid to Construct Umuaka /Isu Njaba/Amaigbo Road

Imo State governor Senator Hope Uzodimma has been called to beam his search light and use his ongoing road Construction work project to honour the Youth development legacy of Prof. Protus Nathan Uzoma to Rehabilitate Umuaka Isu Njaba Amaigbo and Nkwerre road to enable the people enjoy the government passionate effort in road creation in the State.
Prof. Protus Uzoma made the appeals on his foundation 4th edition and Birthday Ceremony in Owerri last Saturday urging the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma to use the rehabilitation of the road as a lone gift demand to celebrate his special day for the people of the area has suffered deplorable condition of road irrespective of their trust in the government.
It was stormy and aggrandizing as community leaders, youth organizations and outstanding political leaders across board gathered at the 4th. Edition of Professor Nathan Uzoma foundation Birthday Lecture / Youth empowerments in Owerri.
The ceremony chaired by a retired Military general , Major general Collins Ihekire pulled cream dela’ cream of politicians , social crusaders , Opinion moulders and various students’ unions like Nuiss and their affiliate bodies not only exposed but proffered solutions to Myriad of Nigerian Challenges.
The celebrant, a social crusader and opinion moulder used the opportunity to lampoon NUC , and political actors whom he alleged use Nigerian Youths as Porn, thugs , brief case carriers and praise singers.
He accused the government of promoting unemployment while pretending to stand for Youths .
According to the activist , many of Nigerian Youths languish in correctional centers on induced actions and trumped up charges without a hute from leaders.
Professor Nathan Uzoma recalled with nostalgia how a young boy was thrown into prisons sometimes ago for allegedly stealing two tubers of yams without a legal representation while as many serious offenders are given some leverage.
The social crusader alleged that the governments’ policy through an unrealistic , non sustainable educational programmes/ policies as enunciated by the NUC has created endemic challenges of youth unemployments across the country.
In his words, the NUC must bring new Policy that will address the 21st Century needs of our Youths.
The academia who is the Youth Mayor of Nigerian students said NUC is operating an outdated curricula , creating myriads of problems. Skill based curricula must be in place for Nigerian Youths to attain their potentials.
The Nigerian Youth Mayor who controls a large number of followers used the occasion to appeal to Imo state government under distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma to please come to the aid of Isu Njaba communities by constructing the Umuaka Isu Njaba road.
Some of the guests who spoke included Maazi Chima Matthew Amadi ( Gburugburu ) aligned with the Nigerian Youth Mayor on his resolve to mitigate the Challenges and failures of the establishments through his Youth empowerments.
He applauded organizers of the Prof. Uzoma foundation for their Empowerment programme, especially the 100 Youths that are languishing at the Owerri Correctional centers. ( Prisons) .
He observed that Prof. Nathan Uzoma has been working for the reintegration and recovery of the God given potentials of the Youths. He pledged #5m of assistance to the foundations.
Other eminent leaders were Prof . Francis Dike, Prof. Preye of Nigeria Delta University, Prof Ogbonna of Imsu, Rt. Hon . Uche Onyeagucha former Secretary to Imo state government, Prof. Bishop Athan Azuike , Hon. Blyndern Amajirionwu, Prince Eze Madumere MFR former Imo state deputy governor , APC chieftains including apostle Chinwe Obinna etc
Earlier in his opening speech , Rt. Major general Ihekire, expressed his gratitude for chairmaning the 4th edition of Professor Nathan Uzoma’ s Birthday / youth empowerments celebrations and described the celebrant as a man of many parts with empathy for others.
