Imo Council Polls: ISEC Faces Litigation Lack of Due Process, Election Guidelines.

The Imo State Independent Electoral Commission ISEC, has to face legal Litigations and fireworks for the alleged non compliant to the Imo State Council election guidelines and due process during the last Local Government Area Council elections 21 September 2024.
The 2024, Imo State Local Government Area Council elections was described by election pundits as a sham and a selection exercise. This has exposed the ills of the political sentiments witnessed as All Progressive Congress, APC, Candidates take lead in both the 27 Council’s , Chairmanship and 305 Electoral Ward Councilors positions in a dramatic turn against the people overall interest.
Why members of APC accused the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma of appointing his cronies and ardent supporters without involving any form of Party Primary elections system.
In a suit How/1235/2024, in the originating summons by the Candidate for African Democratic Congress, ADC, Chief Dr. Collins Chigozie Osuagwu against Imo State Independent Electoral Commission ISEC seeking the Intervention of Imo State High Court to look into the matter with the aim of enthronement of justice as all the Candidates of the election from other oppositions political parties have lost hope with the quasi Tribunal set up to look into the matter associated with the issues rising from the past Imo State Local Government Area Council elections.
African Democratic Congress ADC are seeking to know whether the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission ISEC conducted the State Council elections in contrary to the State Council elections guidelines as such has rendered the election invalid and should be cancelled in its entirety.
Whether by the receipt issue by ISEC including certificate of Return form and other necessary documents to the Candidate of ADC is not qualified to contest the election in 21 September 2024 and other related matters.
The Lawyers, from Godwin Chambers further seek relevant knowledge for the Electoral Commission ISEC to explain details if they actually comply with the due process of the law in the conduct of the 2024 LGA Council elections in Imo State and if not ought to be declared invalid.
With this development is no longer Uhuru for Imo State 2024 purported elected Council Chairmen and Councilors as the Litigations will go along way to check the non compliance to due process and election guidelines by the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission ISEC in the State Wide Council Polls September 21, 2024.
Mostly Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, wherein, Chief Dr. Collins Chigozie Osuagwu contested as the Chairmanship Candidate for African Democratic Congress ADC.
