Governor Uzodimma Commends Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi for Enrolling Constituents in Imo Health Insurance Scheme

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has commended Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, for his commitment to improving the health of his constituents in Owerri Zone.

The governor, represented by the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Prosper Ohayawa, praised Senator Onyewuchi for enrolling over 10,000 people in the Imo State Health Insurance Scheme, a flagship program of the governor’s administration.

Senator Onyewuchi, in his remarks, explained that he decided to enroll his constituents in the scheme to provide them with regular medical checks and better healthcare.

He encouraged his colleagues in the National Assembly to emulate him and thanked Governor Uzodimma for introducing the health insurance scheme.

The event, which took place at Rock View Hotel, Owerri, was witnessed by prominent leaders, including traditional rulers, government officials, and lawmakers. Senator Onyewuchi also announced plans to commence a market grant program for traders, mostly women, in Owerri Zone.
