The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State have extended the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms for councillorship and chairmanship aspirants.
The APC, in a statement by its State Publicity Secretary, Cajethan Duke, announced that the sale of forms has been extended from Monday, July 22 to Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
According to him, aspirants are advised to visit any UBA branch of their choice for the necessary payment.
Similarly, the PDP, in a statement signed by Gozie Nwachukwu, State Organizing Secretary, extended the sale of forms from Monday, July 22 to July 26.
The PDP had initially announced that the sale of forms would close on July 17, but the State Caretaker Committee approved the extension.
The local government election in Imo State is scheduled to hold on September 21, 2024.
