The people of Awarra/Ikwerede ward has vowed to ensure that Chief Stephen Nzeribe Lemachi becomes the next chairman of Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State in the forth-coming Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) organized local government election. The Awarra/Ikwerrede constituents come out en-mass to manifest their unalloyed support for their best, Chief Lemachi at the All Progressive Congress Party state secretariat to rally round their son as he picked interest indication for the local government chairmanship position.
Shortly after the aspirant picked his form, there were jubilations and solidarity speeches from both the leadership and electorates from Awarra/Ikwerede ward who were over enthused that their best, Chief S.N. Lemachi has finally accepted the call to serve his people as chairman of the LGA, especially now that the people needs a virgin and prudent politician for the position, hence even development of the area and selfless services.
Fielding questions from newsmen, Chief Lemachi promised not to let his people down as he would not leave no stone unturned in delivering the expected democratic dividends, especially now the nation’s apex court has granted full financial autonomy to the local governments.
In their respective solidarity speeches at the event, tangible sons of the area like Chief Kenneth Ekwueme, Hon. Pastor Emeka Nwulu promised on behalf of the people of Awarra/Ikwerrede ward to throw their full support to ensure that Chief Lemachi emerges victorious at the polls.
The event was graced by Prof. Vitalis Nwulu and his wife Dr. Mrs. Nina Nwulu who described the choice of Chief Lemachi as a round peg on a sound hole.
