The Association of Imo Based Journalists,an umbrella body that steers the affairs of all the professional newsmen attached to media outfits located in the eastern heartland of Nigeria has lauded the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for appointing Honourable Adanna Chantel, Collins Opuruozor and Modestus Nwamkpa into his media team.
The group says the appointments of Adanna Shantel, Opuruozor and Modestus in the Media Office of the Governor is not only laudable,but a step towards achieving gender equality.
According to the statement signed by the Chairman of the Association, Comrade Kelechi Ugo and its Public Relations Officer, Comrade Joshua Chibuzom after their emergency meeting held in Owerri on Monday 24th June,2024, “the appointments of the trio will help to professionally propagate the present 3R Government of Governor Hope Uzodimma as well as uniting media practitioners in Imo State.
We therefore,commend Governor Hope Uzodimma for reaffirming his confidence in Hon. Adanna Shantel and Hon. Modestus Nwankpa by reappointing them to show capacity in serving Imo people in his shared prosperity Administration”.
