Imo State road users and passengers have thanked the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma for the approving the removal of illegal motor parking and loading at the Imo State University IMSU Junction axis Owerri Imo State to avoid further destruction of life’s and property
.
Assuring a total compliance to the order, the drivers accepted to avoid the prohibited areas in order to avoid carnage or more loss of life as a result of increasing report of accident at the junction.
Earlier, Imo State Governor through the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff General Services, Chief Ferdinald Uzodimma (Osisi Ogu) has officially directed the president of imo City Transport drivers, Elder Anaelechi Ukanwune, (obowo) to close down forthwith the illegal loading pit at IMSU Junction.
Against the backdrops, Elder Anaelechi Ukawunne (Obowo) said that, “there will not be any further loading or off loading or even picking of passengers by private vehicles operators within the axis of the Imo State University junction road,
And no vehicle is allowed to park there. We therefore advised all the passengers to move down to about three poles radius before entering any vehicles” .
It is now a total prohibition for Imo City Transport Drivers and other Students Franchise Vehicles as any vehicle found there will be impounded by the Monitoring Team’s of Security Data Capture Imo State.
“There is a sign post on were buses and Private Vehicles will stop “No Parking,” sign so let’s abide by the Law to safe the State,
For the information the Monitoring team will commence work immediately, so please let us be guided” Obowo said.
