Nigerians Testify Insecurity Reductions Under Matawalle

Despite the prevailing insecurity in Nigeria, there has been a significant reduction in insecurity since Dr. Bello Matawalle assumed office as the Minister of Defence State, with the support of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu. Nigerians have witnessed and testified to this reduction in insecurity, which is a testament to Dr. Matawalle’s effective leadership.
Dr. Matawalle, in collaboration with the Nigeria Service Chiefs and the Nigeria Police Force, has successfully curtailed insecurity in previously prone areas, including his home state of Zamfara, and other troubled regions. Before his appointment, Nigeria faced severe security challenges, but Dr. Matawalle’s leadership has brought hope and relative peace to the affected areas over the past 10 months.
His pragmatic leadership style has also led to a reduction in insecurity in the North West, North East, and North Central regions, as well as a significant decrease in the activities of ISWAP and IPOB in the South East. Dr. Matawalle’s detribalized approach to national security has strengthened national building and linkages, and his contribution to enhancing the pay package for law enforcement agencies has boosted productivity and service delivery.
Many Nigerians have openly expressed their confidence in Dr. Matawalle’s leadership, crediting him with reducing insecurity. Under his leadership, Nigerians have come to rely on the capacity of national security operatives and are urged to support the minister by working closely with security agencies to expose criminal hideouts.
