Suspected Burglars has abandoned their wares after successful breaking, entering and looting a cursory and fabrics shop in Owerri Imo State.
In a press release from the office of the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO ASP Henry Okoye clearly stated that, the
Operatives of Owerri Urban Area Command while on routine night patrol along West-End road, Owerri recovered stolen items including; 1. a television set, 2. a home theater, and 3. Over 50 hi-target/wax hollandaise wrappers, valued over 800 thousand Naira which was abandoned along the road by suspected shop bugglers who took to their heels upon sighting the Police.
Following the directives of the Commissioner of Police, the recovered items were later released to the rightful owner, CEO Vivee Couture, and Fabric Enterprise on Friday, 26/04/2024 after a thorough investigation revealed that her store situated at No. 45 Ekwema Crescent, Ikenegbu Layout was burgled and looted same night the items were recovered.
In appreciation, the CEO expressed her profound gratitude to the Commissioner of Police and the Area Commander for recovering some of the items that were stolen from her store. She stated that her trust and love for the Police have increased and urged the people of Imo State to support the Police in the fight against crime and criminality.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma has affirmed that efforts are on top gear to arrest the fleeing suspects and make them face the full wrath of the law. He noted that the Command remains unwavering in its commitment to clamp down on shop buglers in the State and will not relent in its efforts to make the State safer and more secure for economic growth and development.
