Ikeduru Country Club,a non governmental Organization and a social, human capital development organization by the People of Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State has unveiled plans towards achieving speedy development of the Council.
Speaking,the National President of Ikeduru Country Club, Chief Jude Opara (Shapume) said that the Club’s 2024 Annual Retreat Programmes are in line with the Club’s decisions to open ideas and potentials among the members and to coordinate activities that will promote more sustainable lifestyles and development.
The Ikeduru Country Club is looking towards achieving speedy development like other Notable clubs in the State like Nkwerre Country Club and others.
“The club is made up of good and integrity individuals from Ikeduru drawn from Professionals, Technocrats, Academics, Business Experts and Entrepreneur. The club is also open to all Ikeduru sons and daughters with the simple aim and objectives to ensure that our place Ikeduru is developed”. Shapume
In their lectures, Dr Jude Nwakamma of Alvan Ikoku College of Education and Dr Gabriel Onyekuru explained the need for physical exercises and ethical conduct among the members not only in dealing with the issues of the club but in their wide spectrum of life.
In his remarks, Maj. Gen. C.R.U Ihekaire Retired said that he is happy to associate himself to the club that made up of critical Stakeholders of Ikeduru Local Government Area.
He pointed out that Ikeduru is the worst hit in terms of practical development and explained that the efforts of the organization will complement the government to the meaningful development of the area.
“Ikeduru is backwards but with the efforts of new Country Club members,we will cooperate with the government to develop our place. This is a welcome development and I’m happy to be part them” ,Maj. Gen. Ihekaire stated.
Contributing,the Vice National President of Ikeduru Country Club, Chief Ugochukwu Onyeocha (Isipamba Ikeduru) expressed happiness to be associated with the good development coming from Ikeduru.
” I am somebody that likes to identify with good things. I beliefs strongly that with togetherness, we can achieve much in attracting and bring down development to Ikeduru. We can’t shy away from our social responsibilities. So, we came together to use the club as afront development of our place, Ikeduru. We are now a big club and working towards achieving a Secretariat and Club House in Ikeduru. My advice is for us to be committed to the Club, focuse and honest”. Isipamba Ikeduru said.
Some members of the Club at the Retreat Programmes include, High Chief Vitalis Ogueri Former BOT Chairman, Chief Dennis Okwu (Sweet Apple), Chief George Whyte Iwuamadi, Prof. Victor Njoku of Imo State University, Chief George Amaefule, High Chief Emmanuel Eneremadu, Chief Jude Osondu, Hon. John Nwaike, Dr. Gabriel Onyekuru, Chief Chijoke Isdore and Mr. Emeka Alaribe ( Buddy)
Others are Chief Chuks Anaele Ubasinachi, Dr. James Akaraonye of Alvan Ikoku Fed University Chief Val Awurum and Comrade Nnamdi Ezeji, Able Secretary Ikeduru Country Club respectively.
