Njaba Apex Leader, Hon Chief Akuzuruahu extols Chief Obi over transformations, peace in Njaba

An appeal has gone to the people of Njaba Local Government Area to rally round and support the Local Government Executive Chairman, Hon Chief Vitals Ugochukwu Obi (Etiokwe) for him to continue to embark more transformations and sustain peace in the area.
The Apex Leader of Njaba, Chief Chris Akuzuruahu (Ezemuo Njaba) made the appeal in an interview with newsmen on the occasion of the Njaba Unity gathering civic reception in honour of Hon Chief Obi held last Saturday, March 11, 2026 at the LGA Headquarters, Nnenasaa.
He identified the event as a celebration of success of Njaba LGA, adding that Hon Chief Obi has done well in the area and his achievements have surpassed those of the other chairmen joined together.
The Njaba Apex leader recalled the state of Njaba LGA in the past few years before the assumption of office of the incumbent Chairman, stressing that he fought insecurity in the area and now Njaba is safe and people are going about their normal businesses without fear of harm and that is why he inherited the title (Omere Njaba juo oyi)
He noted that Hon Chief Obi has received merit for the good work which the governor, Sen Hope Uzodinma who appointed him is doing in the state, pointing out that his good work in Njaba, his remarkable leadership and and the visible progress being recorded under his administration so far, his dedication, inclusiveness and drive for sustainable development continue to set a commendable standard.
Hon Chief Akuzuruahu maintained that the civic reception is an honour well deserved, being a recognition of his good leadership qualities, dedication to service, tireless efforts towards the progress of the people of Njaba, his grassroots empowerment and commitment to selfless service.
He enjoined the Executive Chairman to continue to invest in rural development to further improve the lives of the people and let his vision continue to transform Njaba for better, hoping also that his tenure will bring greater transformation across all communities in Njaba, leaving a lasting and impactful legacy.
Hon Chief Akuzuruahu furrther commended the governor, Sen Uzodinma for his giant strides in the state in the areas of roads, infrastructure, improved workers’ welfare and improved healthcare among others and advised Imo people to support him to continue to give good governance.
He noted that the epoch making occasion of Njaba Unity Gathering and Grand Reception of an illustrious son, a visionary leader, and an exceptional administrator, Hon. Chief Obi is not just another date on the calendar; but a defining moment in the history of Njaba.
Hon Chief Akuzuruahu said the event is a day the people of Njaba collectively set aside to celebrate excellence, dedication, and recognize purposeful leadership, pointing out that they gathered in unity and pride to celebrate a man whose name has become synonymous with transformation, resilience, and impactful governance.
He expressed delight that they were privileged to witness the presence of the Executive Governor of Imo State, who is the Special Guest of Honour, stressing that his presence added great prestige and significance to this occasion and underscored his commitment to grassroots development and good governance, while in the course of the event, Sen Uzodinma performed the historic commissioning of a new Njaba state-of-the-art Administrative Building, a landmark project that stands as a testament to visionary leadership and a legacy of service to the people.
“Furthermore, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and contributions to the development of Imo State, the revered trraditional Rulers of Njaba conferred on the governor a well-deserved Chieftaincy Title, symbolizing honour, respect, and appreciation from the entire Njaba nation, while special awards were be presented to the Governor, as well as to other distinguished sons, daughters, and friends of Njaba who have contributed immensely to the growth, unity, and progress of our land.
Hon Chief Obi stands tall as a reformer who has demonstrated uncommon courage in leadership, an achiever whose results speak louder than words, and an administrator per excellence whose vision has redefined governance at the grassroots.
Under his stewardship, Njaba has witnessed remarkable progress. His administration has brought renewed hope to our people, restored confidence in , and set a new standard for service delivery. From infrastructural development to improved security, from administrative reforms to people-oriented policies, his impact is visible, measurable, and widely acknowledged. He structured his governance code as SHE-WARI and that has significantly changed the narrative of grassroots governance.
