NWADIKE DENIES SABOTAGE CLAIM, REAFFIRMS LOYALTY TO IMO APC
By Anselem Anokwute
The attention of Hon. Harrison Anozie Nwadike has been drawn to a publication alleging that he sabotaged the recent fundraising drive of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State. The report, which attempts to question his commitment to the party, is misleading, unsubstantiated, and clearly designed to create disaffection within the APC family.
Contrary to the claims made in the said report, Hon. Nwadike remains a committed and loyal member of the APC who has consistently supported party activities both publicly and behind the scenes. At no point during the stakeholders’ meeting did he act in a manner that could be interpreted as sabotaging the fundraising process. Sources close to the lawmaker described the allegations as a gross misrepresentation of a routine internal discussion among caucus members.
It is important to state that contributions at such party events are voluntary and often involve consultations among stakeholders to ensure fairness, coordination, and sustainability. The attempt to portray a private exchange as an act of defiance is not only inaccurate but also a deliberate effort to malign the reputation of a serving lawmaker who has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the growth of the party in his constituency and beyond.
On the issue of constituency empowerment, Hon. Nwadike’s record speaks for itself. Within his first term, he has facilitated several people-oriented initiatives and continues to engage relevant agencies to attract more developmental projects to his constituency. Plans for further empowerment programmes are ongoing and will be executed in line with due process and available resources. Any suggestion that he intends to deny his constituents their due is baseless and politically motivated.
Observers have noted that as the 2027 election cycle approaches, such unfounded allegations are not uncommon, particularly against emerging political figures. However, Hon. Nwadike remains focused on service delivery and party unity, rather than distractions fueled by speculation and anonymous sources.
He therefore urges party members and the general public to disregard the report in its entirety and to remain committed to the collective progress of the APC in Imo State.
