This is to draw our attention to the escalating security crisis in the southern states, specifically the unabated invasion, killings, abductions for ransom, and organ harvesting by alleged Hausa-Fulani herders in our forests and farmlands. As the saying goes “where there is a problem, there is a solution but if one is not part of the problem then one is surely part of the solution”
This dire situation necessitates immediate and decisive legislative action to safeguard the lives and properties of our citizens. Hence, there is a compelling need for each southern state’s house of assembly to enact a comprehensive law establishing well-equipped indigenous forest guards and vigilante groups.
The security landscape in the southern states is becoming increasingly precarious due to the activities of alleged Hausa-Fulani herders. Incidents of invasion, killings, and organ harvesting have reached alarming levels, necessitating urgent intervention.
The primary duty of any government is to protect the lives and properties of its citizens. Establishing well-equipped indigenous forest guards and vigilante groups is a proactive step towards ensuring the safety and security of our people.
