A Socio-cultural Organization under the aegis of Mezie Okigwe Forum has commended the leadership of Imo State House of Assembly and expressed satisfactions with the level of legislative representations from the Onuimo State Constituency Law-maker, Hon Chief James Uba Esile.
This commendations was made during the Onuimo Local Government Area chapter’s, of the Group paid a courtesy visit to Hon Esile in his office at the Imo State House of Assembly Complex.
Speaking, one of the Directors of Mezie Okigwe Forum , Hon Lawrence Okoroafor, said that this is the first time Onuimo State Constituency has elected a People’s choice to represent them. Someone who is all out to give his best for the good of the society.
He further explained that Hon James Uba Esile has proved detractors wrong by fulfilling his campaign promises within a shortest time and gone ahead to consolidate on his mandate by ensuring that Onuino remains in the front burner of Imo politics.
In his words, “we came to appreciate you for the way and manner you have been representing us. You have made us proud by sponsoring and supporting sound bills and motions”. This includes drawing the attention of the State Government to the deplorable conditions of our roads”.
Above all, we have noted your empowerment programmes in Onuimo, especially, your purchases of JAMB forms, WAEC forms and NECO forms for Onuimo secondary school students. Most recently you appointed over 45 persons as Special Assistants to serve the people, This is commendable!. Explaining, Hon. Okoroafor said that, Mezie Okigwe Forum is a political pressure group meant to be used to criticize, associate, checkmate and promote any leader in power, said the organization was formed three years ago by Chief Anayo Tony Martins (ATMI) with presents in each of the 6 local government areas of Okigwe zone, while Hon Iyke Anomara serves as the Director General.
In a separate Contributions some officials of Mezie Okigwe Forum that speak at the event includes, the Zonal leader (Mrs Lorita Ekpommadu), Secretary, the Deputy director, Hon Kenneth Ndumora, and Mr Geoffrey Arimodo. They praised Chief James Uba Esile and described him as jinx breaker, light bearer and a fresh air in Onuimo.
In her speech, Former Coordinator for Onuimo South Development Centre, Lolo Olivia Ijeomah, thanked Mezie Okigwe Forum, Onuimo Chapter, for piloting their affairs in the local government with maturity, dignity and respect. She reassured them that Hon Chief James Uba Esile, as a Man of integrity and credibility, will not let Onuimo down, but will continue to strive in his legislative duties for the betterment of the constituency.
Responding, Hon Esile thanked his people for the visits and assured them that he would continue to do his best for the progress, peace, unity and development of Onuimo.
He further explained to them that himself and other Honourable Members are doing very well because, Governor Hope Uzodimma has given them an enabling environment to function as lawmakers, without any interference or teleguiding their legislative activities, unlike what is happening in other states. He therefore implored them to keep on in supporting the Shared Prosperity 3R Administrations of the Governor.
In his words, ‘Our Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma is an Oracle of good and great Leadership. A Man who has brought Fresh Air to the larger Imo Constituency. The only way to make our voice stronger is by keeping on in supporting the governor, Good things are coming. What will attract development of the society is to embarked on Human Capital Development, and so far our next empowerment scheme will be on how best to improve our farmers.
