Imo State under the government of Senator Hope Uzodimma has witnessed a drastic and tremendous development predestined under the past administration to ensure speedy human and infrastructural development.
The State according to an Unbiased Opinion moulder who do not want his name mentioned has previously expressed confidence in the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma’s pace of developmental achievements within his last four years, a testament he pointed out, to have placed the Governor above his former contemporaries.
He regretted that the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma having done great in the last four years could now squirt and stoop low to scuttle his good image as one of the best governor in the State by his continued negligence and recklessness abandonment of the State and the people after his second term swear-In and Inauguration on the 15 January, 2024 without constitution of his cabinets to help him in moving the State forward instead he has decided on his own to inform some people to take responsibility to function as the government appointees without prior knowledge of the State House of Assembly and the general Public.
Describing the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma as a well experienced federal law-maker with his eight years knowledge in the Senate should guide to his administration in the State as a governor to understand that it’s unconstitutional to send an individual to represent the State in any public function or ceremony without official portfolio is politically suicidal and coercing some of his previous appointees against each other will be best described as anti humans, such as, on the instructions that all his former appointees to hand over all the government property’s and official vehicle’s in their hand to Chief Charles Orie, Managing Director ISOPADEC is a slam on the sensitivity of the former Commissioners underscoring the Governor’s good and harmonious working relationship with them and have indirectly established an inhouse bitterness and acrimony among his previous appointees.why not officially constitute a Committee to handle recovery of government property, Or Is the Governor afraid of his previous appointees?.
Governor Uzodimma could as a matter of urgent importance announced officially some portfolios such as Secretary to the State Government, Commissioner For Justice, Chief Press Secretary, Chief of Staff and Principal Secretary to help him in moving the State forward before his long vacation instead of negatively keeping some people behind the door to act on his behalf without official announcement and House of Assembly clearance like One Oguike Nwachukwu unconstitutional signing government press releases after the dissolution of expanded Executive Council by the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma on 17, January 2024.
It could be recalled that during the National hardship protests by the members of Nigeria Labour Congress Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie was asked by Journalists to explained himself on which capacity did he choose to address the protesters?. He succinctly put it that he was in the Government House as a friend of the government to do the needful of which one person must be assigned to come and address the protesters.
He shameful pointed out that, he was the former Chief of Staff Government House and acknowledged their dissolution by the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma over a month ago without reconstitution of the new Executive Council members.
This is too bad for the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma to keep the people in a persistent confusions as many are keeping faith waiting for the constitution of the new appointees to enable them sorts for one thing or the order because there are limits to which Permanent Secretary’s or Directors will act in the ministry, and also, there are as well some limits to which Director Of General Services (DAGS) can act in the Local Government Areas without the Commissioners and Local Government Chairman respectively.
It’s time to correct all the administrative anomalies and official lacuna to move the State forward as all hands must be on desk to achieve the government aims and objectives of security of lives and property and provisions of people warefares.
First of all, reconstitute new appointees and train them inline with the 3R mantra to avoid repetition of the past mistakes in which some of the former State appointees are still undergoing legal persecution and shamefully left the government from the police net because of lack of proper and inadequate training.
Finally, Governor Hope Uzodimma system of government in Imo State is beyond scientific definition because the system is devoid of democratic tenets his lackadaisy to conduct Local Government Area Elections, illegal mopping of monthly Council allocation and negligence to the dilapidated rural community roads even when some of them have been awarded to a contractors such as roads are Awomama in Our East and Okwudor in Njaba LGAs which the governor promised to deliver within 18 Months of his first tenure.
It’s discredit to build, a snake-like, road in his Oguta Junction Mgbidi, Omuma to Okporo Orlu road and the abandonment of his home market square, (Orie Omuma )in shanties and ruins. Instead of expansions of the road by ensuring total dualization of the road from the Onisha road junction Mgbidi to Okporo Orlu and total rehabilitating and reconstruction of the governor home market as well as the constructions of Atta Njaba Omuma road crossing the governor’s personal resident in Ozuh Omuma for the interest of his neighborhoods and a credit to his administration as charity begins at home” (Shout they will hear)
