2027 NINN Federal Constituency: Kemka Emerges as Strong Contender for House of Representatives Seat

As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, the candidature of the Action Peoples Party (APP) flag bearer for the Isu/Njaba/Nkwerri/Nwangele Federal Constituency, Engr. Ike Christian Kemka, popularly known as Engr. K.K., is increasingly attracting attention across the constituency.
Kemka, an indigene of Umuezeala Nnerim in Isu Local Government Area of Imo State, is being projected by his supporters as one of the strongest options for the Federal House of Representatives seat, with emphasis on his professional background, personal contributions to community development, accessibility and commitment to public service.
The Isu/Njaba/Nkwerri/Nwangele Federal Constituency, popularly referred to as the NINN constituency, comprises four local government areas and remains one of the strategically important constituencies in Imo State.
Supporters of Kemka argue that the constituency requires a representative who would combine competence with character, integrity, accessibility and the ability to attract meaningful federal presence and development.
According to them, the 2027 election provides an opportunity for the electorate to make a deliberate choice based on competence and proven capacity rather than political sentiments.
They maintained that the constituency still faces significant developmental gaps, particularly in education, infrastructure, healthcare, youth empowerment and the attraction of federal institutions.
One of the issues frequently cited by stakeholders is the need to expand the presence of federal educational and skills-development institutions within the constituency.
They also noted that the ongoing effort to establish a Federal Nursing and Midwifery institution in Ihebinowerre-Okwudor, through a legislative initiative associated with the incumbent lawmaker, Barr. Harrison Nwadike, represents an important development that deserves sustained legislative support.
For Kemka’s supporters, such initiatives demonstrate the kind of federal presence that the constituency needs and which, they believe, should be pursued more aggressively in the next National Assembly.
They contend that Kemka’s professional experience as a trained engineer and retired international driller has exposed him to systems, project management, technical operations and international standards, qualities they believe could be brought to bear on legislative representation.
Beyond his professional career, his supporters also point to his personal contributions to individuals and communities as evidence of his disposition towards service.
They argue that his decision to contest was largely influenced by repeated calls from constituents and community stakeholders who believe he possesses the capacity to provide a stronger voice for the constituency at the National Assembly.
According to them, the central question before the electorate in 2027 should not merely be which political party a candidate represents, but who possesses the character, competence, accessibility, experience and commitment required to effectively represent the people.
They further maintained that Kemka offers an opportunity for the constituency to demand a more result-oriented approach to representation, particularly in attracting federal projects, supporting educational development, creating opportunities for young people and advocating policies that can improve the economic wellbeing of constituents.
The growing support for the APP candidate, they said, is also anchored on the belief that representation should go beyond legislative attendance and speeches to include effective advocacy, constituency engagement and the ability to attract tangible projects and opportunities.
Meanwhile, Kemka has continued to assure the people of Isu/Njaba/Nkwerri/Nwangele Federal Constituency that his ambition is driven by the desire to serve rather than pursue personal or family interests.
He said his years of professional and community engagement had prepared him for the responsibilities associated with public office, adding that his aspiration was aimed at contributing to the development of the constituency and improving the lives of its people.
Kemka stressed that public service should be about sacrifice, accountability and measurable impact, promising to place the interests of constituents above personal considerations if elected.
He appealed to the electorate to examine the antecedents, competence, character and capacity of all the candidates before making their choice in the 2027 election.
He also urged the people to remain united and avoid politics of bitterness, assuring them that, with their mandate, he would pursue programmes and projects capable of strengthening education, healthcare, youth development, infrastructure and economic opportunities across the four local government areas.
As the 2027 election approaches, supporters of Engr. Kemka maintain that the contest presents the people of the NINN Federal Constituency with an opportunity to choose a representative who can provide purposeful, accessible and development-oriented representation.
They therefore urged voters across Isu, Njaba, Nkwerri and Nwangele to consider Kemka’s candidature as a serious option, insisting that his professional experience, record of service and stated commitment to the people make him a strong contender for the House of Representatives seat in 2027.
For his supporters, the message is clear: the NINN Federal Constituency deserves representation built around competence, integrity, accessibility and measurable development, and they believe Engr. Ike Christian Kemka is prepared to provide it.
