Imo-Based Journalists Felicitate Uzodimma’s Aide, Rev. Eches, on Emergence as South-East CAN Chairman

The Association of Imo State Based Journalists (AIBJ) has congratulated the immediate past Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Imo State Chapter, Rev. Dr. Eches Divine Eches, on his emergence as the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), South-East Zone.
In a congratulatory statement jointly signed by the Association’s Chairman, Comrade Kelechi Ugo, and Secretary, Ikenna Orioha, the body described Rev. Dr. Eches’ election as a well-deserved recognition of his exemplary leadership, commitment to Christian service, and unwavering dedication to the advancement of the Church.
The Association noted that Rev. Dr. Eches, who currently serves as the Special Adviser to Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, on Religious Affairs, has consistently distinguished himself through purposeful leadership, integrity, and selfless service to both the Church and society.
According to the statement, his emergence as South-East CAN Chairman represents another significant milestone in his leadership journey, following what it described as a successful tenure as Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Imo State.
AIBJ expressed confidence that, with his wealth of experience, sound judgment, and spiritual guidance, Rev. Dr. Eches would provide effective leadership capable of strengthening the activities of CAN across the five South-East states.
The Association further expressed optimism that his tenure would promote greater unity among Christian denominations, deepen collaboration among church leaders, foster peaceful coexistence, and advance the Christian faith throughout the region.
It also prayed for God’s wisdom, strength, and divine guidance upon the new South-East CAN Chairman as he assumes the responsibilities of his new office.
The journalists’ body observed that Rev. Dr. Eches’ emergence has continued to attract widespread commendation from religious leaders, public office holders, and well-wishers across the South-East.
Rev. Dr. Eches, a native of Umuluwe in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, is widely respected for his contributions to Christian leadership, peacebuilding, and the promotion of religious harmony within and beyond the state.
The Association wished him a successful, impactful, and fruitful tenure as Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, South-East Zone.
