The Executive Chairman of Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State Prince Marcel Chinasa Amadioha has debunked the rumours making rounds on the invasion of the area by the Fulani Militia’s as unfounded and untrue owing few security challenges being orchestrated by some individuals and their hirings.
He emphatically expressed appreciations to Imo State Police Command and other security agents on good operations to unravel the through identity of the grey areas and providing a lasting solution to tackle the insurgence.
He stated that the issues of security is not a public outcry but a systematic approach as the meeting with the stakeholders and community leadership is one of the approaches because security is an all comers affair.
In a joint meeting in his office at the Ohaji Egbema Council Secretariat Mmahu, Egbema Hon. Prince Marcel Amadioha alongside Security agencies, Traditional Leaders, President Generals, Youth Leaders, vigilante Group Commanders, and other critical stakeholders from across the Local Government Area, has come together to deliberate and inform a new course towards achieving a safer, more peaceful, and secure environment for all residents.
The meeting underscores the importance of unity, vigilance, and collaboration in addressing security challenges. Every community member has a role to play in safeguarding lives and property and ensure good collaboration with others.
“Please let me informed us to disregard the recent social media outcry on the issue of Insecurity, kidnapping in Ohaji Egbema Council as regards to the selfish claims accredited to the activities of the Hausa Fulani’s helmsmen involvement as untrue, yes there was a security challenges and the penetrators are known and the victims have been rescued some of the suspects are already in the Police net”.
Equally, we have Inaugurate a special Committee made up of people of good conscience and characters on Conflicts Resolution and Settlement of Land Dispute’s and the committee was assigned to work with the Secretary of the Counci, (SECLOG) and report it’s resolutions to the Council Chairman, these are some of ways to tackle insecurities”. According to him some of the security challenges are orchestrated by bickery, bitterness and political oppositions as the committee was detailed to work on apolitical and devoid of any political sentiment as we have respected community leaders, Clergymen and Traditional leaders in their mists
Ohaji Egbema Council is known for peace and will continue to be a good example of peace Council in the State irrespective of the mischievous endovenous to truncate it as the area will be condone any security nuisance.
