Safari Social Club Owerri Honours Gabros, Agbara, Others, Inducts New Members in Grand Style

Safari Social Club, Owerri, has successfully concluded its 2026 Inauguration, Investiture and Induction Ceremony, honouring distinguished personalities for their outstanding contributions to human capital and infrastructural development, while also inducting new members into the prestigious social organisation.

The event, held in Owerri, witnessed the conferment of a special honour on renowned businessman and philanthropist, Chief Chukwuma Nnanyereugo (Gabros of Nnewi), Owner of Bullivard Hotel Owerri in recognition of his immense contributions to economic growth, job creations, and human capital development through investments valued at over ₦4 billion.

Speaking at the ceremony, the National President of Safari Social Club, Owerri, Hon. Cypriel Inegbu, expressed satisfaction with the successful organisation of the event, describing it as “almost 100 per cent successful.” He commended the Chairman of the Organising Committee and members of his team for their dedication and exceptional planning, which ensured a hitch-free ceremony.

Hon. Inegbu, noted that, Chief Gabros was selected for the prestigious honour because of his unwavering commitment to economic development, wealth creation, and employment generation, adding that the recognition was a token of appreciation for his remarkable contributions to society.

He also appreciated the Special Guest of Honour, Chief Chris Augustus Okoro (Agbara Mbaise), for gracing the occasion with a large entourage of friends and associates, whose presence added glamour and colour to the event.

The National President equally acknowledged the Chairman of the Occasion, Chief Val Mbala (Onoo Orsu), alongside other eminent personalities, including Chief Gerald Ahaefule (Bishop), Chief Hilary Njoku (Haritex), Barr. Kingsley Ononuju, Prince Eze Ugochukwu, Barr. Willy Amadi, Chief Tanana Biaduo, members of the Board of Trustees of Safari Social Club, and several distinguished guests.

Earlier, the Chairman of the 2026 Organising Committee, Dr. Sabinus Chidiebere Ekweariri, expressed delight over the impressive turnout and success of the ceremony. He described Safari Social Club as a recreational and social organisation founded on unity, friendship, and healthy living, guided by its motto, “Sound Minds in a Sound Body.”

Dr. Ekweariri encouraged the newly inducted members and guests to remain committed to the ideals of the club, stressing that active participation would promote healthy living, social interaction, and members’ welfare.

Some of the newly inducted members expressed appreciation for the opportunity to join what they described as one of the most reputable social clubs in Imo State. Among them were Chief Barr. Livinus Mbaonu Onwumere, a legal practitioner from Okigwe, and Prince Austin Chika Obichere, an indigene of Oforola in Owerri West Local Government Area, who both pledged to uphold the values and objectives of the organisation.
