PDP Presents Certificates of Return to Uche Ogbuagu, Mrs. Nwadike and John Nwolu, Others Ahead of 2027 Elections

As part of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, the party has presented Certificates of Return to its successful candidates to facilitate the submission and upload of their names by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Presenting the certificates on behalf of the party, the PDP National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, congratulated the candidates and urged them to remain committed to the party’s ideals and work diligently towards victory in the 2027 polls.

Among those who received the Certificates of Return were Hon. Uche Ogbuagu, the PDP candidate for the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency seat, and Hon. Mrs. Peace Nwadike, the party’s candidate for the Njaba/Isu/Nkwerre/Nwangele Federal Constituency.

Also presented with Certificates of Return were the party’s 26 House of Assembly candidates, including Hon. John Nwolu, candidate for the Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency, and Barr. Kelechi Ahamba, candidate for the Aboh Mbaise State Constituency.

The presentation of the Certificates of Return formally confirms the candidates as the PDP’s flag bearers for their respective constituencies ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency in the 2027 general election, Hon. John Nwolu, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the party after receiving his Certificate of Return from the PDP National Secretariat.

The presentation of the certificates formed part of the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, enabling the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to process and upload the names of duly nominated candidates in accordance with the Electoral Act.

The certificates were presented by the PDP National Secretary, Senator Samuel “Sam Daddy” Anyanwu, to the party’s candidates for various elective positions across Imo State.

Among those who received their Certificates of Return were the PDP candidate for the Ikeduru/Mbaitoli Federal Constituency, Hon. Uche Ogbuagu; the party’s candidate for the Njaba/Isu/Nwangele/Nkwerre Federal Constituency; and the party’s 26 House of Assembly candidates, including Hon. John Nwolu (Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency), Barr. Kelechi Ahamba (Aboh Mbaise State Constituency), and Barr. (Mrs.) Vivian Ottih (Oguta State Constituency).

Speaking after receiving her certificate, the PDP candidate for the Njaba/Isu/Nwangele/Nkwerre Federal Constituency expressed confidence in her ability to provide effective, people-oriented representation. She emphasized her commitment to women empowerment, noting that the time had come for greater female participation in leadership. She assured constituents that they would witness purposeful leadership, quality representation, and increased dividends of democracy if elected.

Also speaking, Hon. John Nwolu, a former ISOPADEC Youth Leader in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area and the PDP candidate for the Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency, expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the party, particularly the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, for conducting a transparent nomination process.

He described the presentation of the Certificate of Return as a significant milestone that officially confirms his candidacy and paves the way for INEC to recognize and upload his name for the 2027 general election.

Hon. Nwolu assured the people of Ohaji/Egbema that, if elected, he would provide effective, responsive, and inclusive representation anchored on quality legislation, community development, youth empowerment, and the delivery of democratic dividends.

He further pledged to remain accessible to his constituents and work tirelessly to promote good governance and sustainable development across the constituency.
