A Ghana based illustrious son of Umuocha Abajah in Nwangele Local Government Area, High Chief and Lolo Cyprain Chika Oforji (Agumba 1 of Obowo, Emezie Ulo Emezie Ama 1 of Abajah Ancient Kingdom, Alhaji Bambam) says investment brought home is the best investment.
High Chief Oforji stated this in an interview with newsmen on the occasion of his house warming ceremony held in his home town, Umuocha Abajah.
He maintained that he discovered that the houses he built abroad are not much appreciable, pointing out that he decided to bring his investment home for the development of his home town.
He thanked God for giving him the resources and enabling environment to complete the project which is one of the enviable investments in his area.
“I give all thanks to God Almighty for giving me the strength and finance to erect this edifice. I am impressed to see this massive turnout of people from all walks of life who graced my house warming ceremony. I will continue to invest in my community. I will continue to impact positively on the lives of my people. I will not also relent in rendering humanitarian services and assisting the less privileged and downtrodden in my community.
I thank my wife, Lolo Yemi Oforji, my brothers in Umuocha Abajah, the Deputy Mayor of Dynamic Friends of Inestimable Admiration Club, High Chief Kingsley Anochie (Akuenwe Ebe 1 of Abba) and members of the club, the Umuocha Town Union, Ghana Branch and High Chief Humphery Ogueri (Ezihe N’Obowo) who is the engine house and the person who initiated opening the house”, High Chief Oforji disclosed.
Also speaking, the wife of the celebrant, Lolo Yemi Oforji identified her husband as her parley, a wonderful husband and a calm and hard-working man who has the interest of the masses at heart.
Lolo Oforji wished her husband long life, good health and more progress in his businesses and prayed God to continue to elevate him to move from strength to strength.
Also speaking, an academic consultant and project manager, Dr Desmond Obiajunwa who represents Umuocha Arise identified High Chief Oforji as a unique and jolly good fellow who has been a very good follower and supporter of their kindred.
Dr Obiajunwa expressed delight that government presence is very much felt in the community and thanked the governor, Sen Hope Uzodinma for the solar lights and other incentives as well as dividends of democracy which the people of the area enjoy.
The Chairman, Organizing Committee of the event, High Chief Lucky Ohaeri expressed delight that the house warming ceremony would bring more progress in the community and described the event as a huge success. “I brought the engineer that did the work. I pray that God will continue to uplift High Chief Oforji”, he stressed.
In another development, a real estate dealer in Ghana/Ivory Coast, High Chief Cyprain Chika Oforji (Agumba 1 of Obowo Emezie Ulo Emezie Ama 1 of Abajah Ancient Kingdom, Alhaji Bambam) has been conferred with Appreciation Award from Dynamic Friends of Inestimable Admiration Club in recognition of his numerous positive contributions towards human and societal development.
High Chief Oforji received the award on the occasion of the maiden edition of the national convention of the club held last Tuesday at Villa Garden Hotel, New Owerri.
In an interview with newsmen shortly after receiving the award, he expressed delight that he was honoured during the first outing of the club, pointing out that he has been a patron of the club for years now
He maintained that the club was motivated to honour him because he has been rendering humanitarian services to mankind and has assisted many communities in executing their projects.
According to him, “I am impressed. I will continue with what I am doing. I will take this club to a higher level. I have done a lot to assist the indigent and needy in communities.
I have been deeply involved in human capital development by engaging youths to be responsible in life as well as reducing the high rate of unemployment in the country”
He thanked Mayor and members for finding him worthy of the title, expressing delight on the honour done him.
According to High Chief Oforji, “I will not relent, I will multiply my efforts, put in more energy to what I have been doing. I will continue to uphold humanitarianism.
To whom much is given, much is expected. I assure this club that this award is going to spur me for more and harder work and services to God and humanity to make society a better place to live in”.
High Chief Oforji enjoined the club members to be steadfast and committed to their objectives, wake up and realize what is needed in communities where where they belong, continue to do good works and be role models.
