IMSUBEB Chairman Commends Governor Uzodimma for His Support and Clarifies Teachers’ Recruitment Process
The Executive Chairman of the Imo State Universal Basic Education Board (IMSUBEB), Hon. Chidiebere Egboh, has expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma, the Executive Governor of Imo State, for his benevolent gesture and firm commitment to the implementation of the teachers’ recruitment exercise in the state.
Hon. Egboh described the Governor’s intervention as a clear demonstration of his passion for quality education and his continuous efforts to strengthen the foundation of learning across all public basic schools in Imo State.
The Board wishes to inform the general public that the ongoing training of teachers is strictly for those who merited it—that is, candidates who sat for the qualifying examination, participated in the interview, were duly shortlisted, accredited, and attended the training programme. These qualified individuals are the only ones eligible for employment under the current recruitment exercise.
Furthermore, the Board cautions the public to beware of fraudsters who are collecting money and making false promises of employment in IMSUBEB. The recruitment process has already been concluded, and the exercise is currently at its second-to-final stage—teacher training—which is ongoing at the Benjamin Uwajimogu College of Education, Ihitte Uboma, not at the IMSUBEB headquarters.
Hon. Egboh further assured the public that the recruitment process is community-based and entirely merit-driven. No duly shortlisted, accredited, and trained applicant will be shortchanged in any way.
He emphasized that IMSUBEB is determined to select the best and most competent candidates who will contribute meaningfully to advancing basic education in Imo State, turning challenges into opportunities for excellence in teaching and learning.
