Imo CP Aboki Danjuma Decorates ACP Odeyeyiwa,
..Commends Tactical Excellence in Anti-Kidnapping Efforts

The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, on Monday decorated Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa, Commander of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit(Tiger Base) in Owerri, in recognition of his recent promotion and exceptional contributions to public safety and security in the state.
In a Press release from the Imo State Police Command, Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Henry Okoye, stated that, ACP Odeyeyiwa, has spearheaded several successful operations against kidnapping, organized crime, and IPOB/ESN-related terrorism, was commended for his tactical brilliance and leadership.
His efforts have significantly enhanced peace and stability across Imo State.
Notably, his outstanding performance earned him the prestigious “Crime Buster of the Year” award in both 2023 and 2024, National Award respectively.
The decoration ceremony, held at the Imo State Police Command Headquarters, was attended by top government officials including the Chief of Staff, Sir Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, representing the Governor, the Special Assistant on Monitoring and Compliance, Nze Chinasa Nwaneri Senior Police Officer’s, colleagues, and other dignitaries.
Their presence underscored the wide respect and admirations ACP Odeyeyiwa commands both within the Force and among the Public as a trailblazer and public safety enforcers.
In his remarks, according to DSP Henry Okoye, CP Danjuma stated that the promotion reflects the Command’s commitment to recognizing excellence, dedication, and integrity within its ranks.
“This is not just a celebration of one officer, but a strong message to all personnel that commitment and outstanding service will always be rewarded,” he said.
ACP Odeyeyiwa, in his vote of thanks, expressed deep appreciation to the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force for the trust reposed in him. He pledged to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, crediting his family, colleagues, and the community for their continued support.
“This honor is a reminder of the responsibility we carry as officers of the law, and I am fully committed to the task of safeguarding lives and property,” he said.
The ceremony served not only to celebrate a distinguished officer but also to reaffirm the core values of the Nigeria Police Force—discipline, dedication, and service to the nation.
Meanwhile the good number of Imo citizens are happy for the promotions of ACP Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa for his magnanimity and tireless efforts to curb crimes and criminality in the State and wished him more success and breakthroughs in his new rank.
