Igbo Day in USA: Ohanaeze Ndigbo Commends the State of North Carolina
Express Appreciation on the Proclamations of June 14 as Igbo Day

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide led by Senator Azuta Mbata, in expression of appreciation has deeply commended His Excellency, Governor Josh Stein, the government and citizens of the State of North Carolina, United States of America (USA), on the recent Proclamations of June 14 as Igbo Day in States.
In a Press release sign by the National Publicity Secretary Ohanaeze Ndigbo World wide, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, stated that, the entire leadership, Stakeholders and members of the Igbo Apex group are happy by the Proclamation of June 14 as Igbo Day in North Carolina USA.
“Suffice it to say that Ohanaeze Ndigbo, by extensions our people all over the world are profoundly pleased with the honour, in recognitions of the contributions of Igbo people to the economic, political and socio-cultural development of the State of North Carolina USA and the world”.
The Ohanaeze President General, Senator Mbata, not only lauds this achievement but also admire it as a classic demonstrations of inclusivity, active citizenship participation, equity, social justice and meritocracy as both standard virtues of democracy and inviolable ideals of nation building in a modern State.
According to him, Senator Mbata who expressed appreciations commended Ndigbo in North Carolina for being worthy Ambassadors of Igbo all over the world with the devine sense of entrepreneurship, resilience, discipline, industry, social values and endearing heritage.
Dr. Chukwu extolled immensely Igbo Diaspora in general for their remittances and robust contributions to the homefront and urge them to continue to remain focused, law abiding and worthy representative of Igbo social principles and worldview.
