100 DAYS IN OFFICE: NURTW ORLU CHAIRMAN COMRADE DONATUS OKORIE CONGRATULATES JEFF EZE

The Chairman Orlu branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers( NURTW) of Imo State, has appreciated the positive driven administrations of the current Imo State Chairman National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW, IKENGA Jeff Eze and wished him well for the successful 100 days in office.
In his congratulations message, Orlu Branch Chairman NURTW, Hon. Comrade Donatus Okorie who is also the Counselor Representing Umuna Ward in Orlu Legislative Council, said that, the 100 days in office of Comrade Ikenga Jeff Eze was impactful and designed inline with the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma’s vision of shared Prosperity.
He extolled the legacy and promised that his branch will remain absolutely in support of the good visions to create more jobs for the youth irrespective of the Transport section involving the driver’s and road workers in football tournaments is another way to finish out talents for the State.
He expressed optimism that Comrade Ikenga Jeff Eze is ably working inline with the government of Senator Hope Uzodimma and promised to toll in the visionary leadership in Orlu branch.
He recalled the efforts of the State Chairman National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Ikenga Jeff Eze, include presentations of his appointment letter in the meeting first of it’s kind showing he is working for the Union.
Whereas, “Comrade Ikenga Jeff Eze informed members about a formal letter submitted to the State Governor through the commissioner for lands, requesting a land allocation for union use.
He expressed optimism that the Governor would approve the request in due to it’s important to aminorate the suffering of the Sector.
Emphasizing the importance of discipline, The Amiable State Chairman urged members to uphold the core values of the union, stating that discipline must remain the watchword at all level of the NURTW operations.
As part of efforts to foster unity and camaraderie among members, a five man committee was constituted to over see the fourth coming seven – a side football competition and Snr Comrade Izuchukwu Okebaram was named Chairman of the Tournament.
Addressing internal conflicts, The State Chairman advised members to refrain from character assassination and divisive actions, emphasizing that leadership is a rotating responsibility and should be respected as such.
The meeting also witnessed the formal introduction of the newest branch, Cluster market motor park.
The Chairman of the new branch was warming welcomed into the union’s fold.
Highlighting his 100 days in office which concided with the meeting date, Hon Comr Amb Ikenga Jeff Eze outlined some of his major achievements so far.
These includes a successful State wide sensitization tour, a seminar on drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking , the inauguration of the committee on Intelligence and Complaints and the creation of a digital data base of the union members and activities”.
