Imo First Lady, Chioma Uzodimma Organizes Immunization on Measles, Rubella,TB & HPV Viruses Vaccination Awareness Program.

Imo State First Lady Barr Mrs Chioma Uzodimma in collaborations with the Nigeria Governor’s Spouses Forum has organized a one day Sensitization meeting with the Chairpersons and the staff of Imo State Primary Health Care across the 27 Council’s made on the important of Measles, Rubella, Tuberculosis, HPV Viruses Vaccination immunization exercise in the State.
In her Passionate appeal, Barr Mrs Chioma Uzodimma, said that, the State has decided to carry out the one day sensitization program on the way to ensure complete eradication of the deadly viruses and urged Imo Mothers with children between the age of 0-5 years to make use of the opportunity to immunize them.
She expressed confidence in the efforts of Imo State Chairpersons in their last assignment on Female Genitals Mutilation project and said that it was a huge success and urged them to do same with the upcoming Measles, Rubella, Tuberculosis, Human Papiloma Virus (HPV) vaccinations exercise.
In her speech, Barr Mrs Chioma Uzodimma, said that, the federal government instructions was on the Rubella virus but Imo State included the vaccines to eradicate Measles, TB and HPV and urged mother’s to use the opportunity as grassroots coverage remained the reasons for bringing in the wives of Imo State Local Government Area Council Chairman to in the grassroots coverage for the general immunization exercise.
She said that a million Thanksgiving is not enough to commend the Nigeria First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her love for children and women in the society through her numerous contributions to the welfare and development of the country.
Speaking on behalf of Imo State, All Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON Chairpersons, Hon. Mrs Nonye Nnani wife of the Executive Chairman Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, said that, she was mandated by Imo State ALGON Chairperson, Hon. Mrs Adikibe, to speak on the issue as instructed by Imo State First Lady to the Chairpersons.
According to her, any program organized by the Imo State First Lady Barr Mrs Chioma Uzodimma is always a top notch. She is the Imo State Mother general, who relates, translate the way she felt and insisted on the need to get the the people a testament to her passion on children and women.
Her passion for children shows her welfare on the need for the vaccine to the children and promised to replicate same as the Female Genitals Mutilation project across the 27 Council’s as they are going home to carry out indepth sensitization program across all the Ward and the Community level.
“We are going to take home the message and work with the Wives of the Councilors and the Ugoeze’s (wives of the Traditional Rulers) across our various council to ensure grassroots coverage on the need for the immunize our children from newly born to five years old.
