Stop Inciting Crisis in World bank Market, Traders Warns Imo Commissioner, Barr. Rex Anunobi (Sokom)

Traders at the World Bank Market in Owerri Municipal Council Area, Imo State, are currently accusing Imo State Commissioner for Commerce and Investment Barr. Rex Anunobi Sokom of truncations of peace by Incitement of crisis among the traders and warned him to stop the purported actions to the disruptions of peace and tranquility in the world Bank market Owerri Imo State.
According to Elder Felix Metu, the market has been peaceful under the leadership of Comrade Udoka’s Caretaker Committee leadership Inaugurated under the influence and Authority of Hon. Chidiebere Emeribe, Mayor Owerri Municipal Council Area recently, but Commissioner Rex Anunobi Sokom’s alleged hidden interference has caused tensions by his alleged instigation of his cronies, one Uzoma Onuoha, Daniel Ibe and others to disrupt the neighborhood and truncate the peace in the Market for their selfish reasons.
The traders claimed that, Sokom, has earlier imposed unqualified individuals, including one Daniel Ibe, as market executives Chairman, which goes against the market’s constitutional provisions as he is only a stranger in the market coming to the market with his Wares on daily basis as a dry fish sellers without any locus standi to Lead the traders rather than continued to cause mayhem and alleged threatening the life of fellow traders even when Authorities of Imo State Police Command Owerri has earlier warned him to desists from any actions occasioning harm to the market or fellow traders.
According to them the situations if not properly handled may likely result in the losses of life and property’s and called on those working against the interest of the State to refrained from causing cohesion and disorders.
The situation has become so dire that the traders are calling on Commissioner Sokom and the Director of Commerce, Mrs. Anthonia Ezeala, to refrain from instigating further crisis in the market by calling their group to order and allow peace to reign.
They argue that the authority to monitor and manage the market lies with the Council, not the state ministry of Commerce and Investment
However, the allegations made by the World Bank Market traders raise concerns about Barr Rex Anunobi Sokom’s leadership style and his commitment to the ill-being of the traders and the market as a whole and called on the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma to retrenched him from the Commerce and Investment ministry.
The traders therefore called on the State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma to come to World Bank market Owerri Imo State for rescue and protection by calling on the Commissioner Rex Anunobi Sokom and his cronies to order to avoid breaking down of law and order in the State.
