In swift reactions to avoidable mistakes and the insinuations of the purported Impositions of one Okorie Arinze Nelson Ufere as the Councilor for Egwe/ Egbuoma Ward over the much accepted consensus APC candidate and Ward Monitor for Governors Election Mr. Okeke Victor Nkeonyenasoya.
The stakeholders and All Progressive Congress APC leaders in the ward rising against the purported Impositions of Chief Bernard Ufere’s Son, Arinze Ufere from Ndionyemobi Autonomous Community Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
In a petition to the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma from the former TC Chairman Oguta LGA, Hon. Cannitius Ohaebosim, Chief Linus Chinyerenwa, (DSP) rtd, PG Egbuoma Community, Hon. Uche Chukwudi Iyi Egbuoma former IMC Member Egwe Egbuoma Ward and Youth leader Egbuoma Community, Hon Kelechukwu Ogunjiofor, described the Impositions of Arinze Ufere as a wrong decision and will not be accepted by the leaders.
According to them, sequel to the ongoing Imo State Local Government Council Election of Chairmen and Councilors exercise, the leadership of APC in Egwe Egbuoma Ward resolved and adopted Mr. Okeke Victor Nkeonyenasoya as their rightful consensus Councillor candidate for the party.
The above decisions according to them was done to maintain the age long zoning arrangement for Egwe Egbuoma political Ward that is currently in favor of Egbuoma not Ndionyemobi with voting strength of 7000 against the later with 802 votes.
They recalled that Chief Bernard Ufere whose son Arinze Ufere was a member of AA with Hon. Kingsley Uju in AA in 2019 before his recent move to support Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu based on personal gratification and interest by using such factors to manipulate the removal of Mr. Okeke Victor Nkeonyenasoya, an APC Ward Monitor and placing his son name for Egwe Egbuoma Ward Councilor Candidate.
The expressed sadness on the negligence and abandonment of the Egbuoma Community with the unprecedented high volume of voting strength in Egwe Egbuoma Ward Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State has not gotten any political appointment since the inception of the government of Senator Hope Uzodimma in 2020 hence the leadership permitted the consensus Mr. Okeke Victor Nkeonyenasoya as the Ward APC Councilor who with his capacity as the Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma’s Monitor in the last Governorship election brought overwhelming victory to the party.
According to them, Chief Bernard Ufere has earlier on threatening the leaders and Stakeholders of Egwe Egbuoma Ward that he is going to introduce war peradventure the son allegedly loses the Councilor election.
Moving ahead to allegedly installed his biological son by all means through the back door is not in the interest of the leaders and called on the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma and the State Party leadership by Dr. MacDonald Ebere to immediately reverse the purported Impositions to the People’s choice Mr. Okeke Victor Nkeonyenasoya for Egwe Egbuoma Ward Councilor Candidate Oguta Local Government Area.
